A Section for Ideas in Forums?

I guess. . . . . -_- But I find sharing ideas with the Forum people here much more beneficial. ^_^ Just don't flood the Off-topic section with ideas that have already been mentioned. . . like many times. . .

 

But Semyon made me think;

the feedback site is a much more advanced site for ideas.

It has all kinds of sections where you can post them.

It's much more easier for developers to read.

 

And it's one site, for everyone; this is just the english section.

It doesn't matter how good something is; it matters if you actually use it or not. True, Semyon checks it Daily. However, it's still very deserted and ''dead.'' An example would be maybe buying your new M3 Mammoth. It just looks so sick, that you don't want to use it. So what's the point of buying it if you don't use it? Same thing with the Feedback site. I don't find any people there, and there are practically no Votes. If we could have a unique section just for Ideas whereas we could also Vote, etc. then I'm pretty sure Tanki would get more and better Feedback- not to mention the opinions of each in-game player instead of just having it be someone anonymous. In addition to that, you could see what kind of rank a person is so that you could see which idea would benefit who: The buyers, the Non-buyers, High Ranks, or Low-ranks.-------------Well true, this is just the English section, however there are Players/Staff(Moderators, Developers, Reporters, etc.) that can comprehend more than one language: Bilingual or maybe even more than just two languages. They can then confer their ideas to each other that they've picked up from the Forums. Like I've said, they will be able to be informed of more and better Feedback. There is more majority here then on the Feedback site. The more majority you have, the more potential that you'll recruit someone who actually has a very decent idea that can improve the game and would benefit all players: Buyers, Non-buyers, Low-Ranked, High-ranked, and everything else.

As Semyon said, it's easier for the Devs to check the Feedback site, not the forum. We should respect their opinion.

 

What me and James suggested some time ago, to make the Feedback site more popular (you know, not many people know about it), was, to make a 'redirect' forum, called 'Ideas & Suggestions', for example, which to be placed in the Devs info category (or maybe somewhere else)

 

The point is, it would look exactly like a current section, but the difference would be that, when you click on it, instead of going to a forum section, you will go to the Feedback site. Along with this idea comes the edit of General section's description (removing ideas/suggestions from there)

Ideas forum section won't be created anyway, atleast from what we see, so we should focus on making the Feedback more popular - this would work with this 'redirect'. Not sure if it will be implemented or not, though.

I've got an idea that I don't want to post in feedback.

 

There should be an ability for battles to toggle on/off the special effects of weapons, ex: splash damage, critical hit, freezing effect.

Feedback is far from "dead," there is simply no obligation for a response.

 

Not to worry-- no reply doesn't mean your idea wasn't seen; on the contrary, your idea might have even made it to the developer drawing board without your even knowing it!

So it's related to what Splitterpoint mentioned. Well good idea, it would certainly attract more players since currently Feedback site is no where to be found until you post an idea and it gets locked. So currently they're just going to leave the Feedback site like that? I'd prefer some ideas on there to be removed, since they're just taking up space. . . Lame. . . . . :P

Yes no forum section, atleast according to the info we have at the moment.

What improvements? You can suggest yours here.

Ideas don't get deleted, just get a status, like PLANNED, UNDER REVIEW, etc. If they start deleting ideas people will lose any hope, they'll say 'so they make me post there but they delete them' - that's why they don't do it.

If not, then can't they just do something like this -> They can, every month or so, round up some of the ''best'' and ''reasonable'' ideas and make an official Poll on the forums or Homepage. There are a list of ideas and players can vote on more than one ideas they like, or are in favor to. That way ''Ideas'' can still be on the current ''Feedback'' site, but they'll receive more votes? The ''Votes'' on the Feedback page are desolate. There are no people going there to vote, and I doubt the ideas will attract any attention without ''Votes.'' A poll on the Forums or Homepage will attract bigger crowds, no?---------------------Then every month they can update the Poll and give us a new set of ideas to vote on. They can do this, of course, with all the Forums/Homepages: Russian, English, etc.
