What truth? What AlernativaPlatform has achieved is astonishing - they have Adobe's attention for one - and they deserve their rewards. Maybe before you offer them advice you should set up your own site, get 25 million subscribers, and monitise it on a Freemium model successfully.

A great topic. Too bad there are still some people that don't realize Tanki wasn't made just for fun; It's a serious business and many people's job, which gives them food and clothes. You all can stay here and complain 'why isn't that like that, why did you change this, you want only money!' - well, take your dad as an example. Does he work? Probably. And he earns the money for your family, he earns those money by working, by being a businessman.

So next time when you start complaining about why the Devs want money, or why they changed something in the game, remember your dad - would it be nice if he, instead of earning money, was just doing some other things, only because people wanted it?

You just sit at your home and Tanki is just a game for you. So you complain and complain. But remember it may be a game for you, but for the Devs it's a job.

 

At the moment Alternativa has over 80 workers and most of them work on Tanki. Here's a little video showing the Devs, Programmers, Game designers, Community managers and everyone else who created the game, who keep working and supporting it every day.

 

 

But of course, you can keep complaining.

I'm pretty sure Advertisements and Billboards on other Company's website would cost more money than adding something like a ''Premium-Tank.''

He meant advertisements from other companies on Tanki's billboards. They could also advertise on the loading screens...

As a friend used to say - the possibilities are enormous, but the profits - minimal! Billboards at sports events are for the spectators - and TV audience - not the players - and they are down near the action. Right now there's 50,000 users online and 32,000 in battle; the peak might be 64,000 users online and half of that in battles. That's not exactly a mass audience!

Rick i agree about crystals buyers and like seeing them such as you and i respect them. only thing i am a little angry about is they doubled the prices for weapons after rebalcance and multiplying funds/crystals by 10

And after I watched that video; Omg, they have all the luxuries and yet they highered the prices?! What?! Well, they do need money for themselves as well, but we buy crystals whenever we can (Majority of us) so they should be getting enough money to make a Rebalance like my opinion.

I suspect the rebalance was needed to fix some very broken economics in part - talent costs money (ask Google or Facebook) and the monthly burn-though on Tanki with 70 developers would be huge. While code doesn't decay, the world moves on so that every spiralling maintenance and security updates are needed. I like the game post rebalance - the challenge is just as great at high ranks as it was at lower ones. The "two tier" system for hulls and guns made for a boring game in my opinion, I for one don't want it back. Already more players have joined after the rebalance than were playing before....

Well that's not what it should be. It should be Free, online, Multiplayer, Browser Base, 3D war game instead as was told in the 2nd Trailer of Tanki online. This is why I suggested Rebalance No2. The Tanki should be a game where at the needed rank you could get 2 hulls and 2 guns M3 at least and plus many paints which could be purchased like one every 3 ranks or so. And to get some more stuff you could purchase crystals and also could get some supplies without even buying crystals. Also we have overpowered stuff; Tier 1 makes me angry whilst we Tier 2 have to suffer from them and wait till we can get our glory back, which might not happen. We need Rebalance No2, guys! I'll give you details of Guns of my idea of Rebalance No2 and then you tell me what you think of it:

buyers pay for their game like buying a DVD or P/station game thats fine.

if tanki and all other dynamic games where a pay to play then most of us would just go to

places like Agame and play simple flash games.or play free puzzles on myspace

i like many other players have earned rank and guns within the game. with the help of other players in the team.

this does not make me a scrounger quite the opposite because all i have has been earned and i have had to

survive on what little i can save over months of hard play and frustration just to get a rank or the next weapon hull upgrade.

Um - how do you know what most players are? Either way, if everyone who signed up just paid $10 over the course of their Tanki career - that would be $250 million. I spent a total of $25 pre-balance (had to have that shiny M2 railgun!) and that was it, more or less. I realised that for me, winning through buying simply isn't winning - no real skill involved, just money.
