Worst issue ever. No doubt about it whatsoever. Writing quality has dipped dramatically from last edition, when all of the new reporters did quite well. No article is worth reading AFAICS and there does not even seem to be too much effort put into the issue (except for this main header), with some reporters not writing anything at all and almost no article being of any decent length, pretty much all of them are far too short. The stories that seem to be decent (The Revolution, Inside Tanki) are cut short before you can get involved in the story and are thus very unsatisfying. The interviews and news and everything seems a bit lazy, and the guides are all very average as well, informing readers of very little.

 

I hope the newspaper will improve dramatically next issue. Otherwise, I fear that this fantastic institution will come to a premature end very soon.

Exams are no excuse. :| I doubt you do revision 24/7 - in the times you weren't you could easily have written high-quality articles in that time. :|

^Thanks, but I'd prefer to listen to skit's criticisms than to ignore them, as he was a brilliant reporter himself when with the newspaper and so has loads of experience with this sort of stuff.

 

I'm really sorry you think that. I guess this could be seen as a wake-up call; for sure, next issue will be a lot better. Expect 4 high-quality articles from most of us; I for one will take into account what you've said about certain areas of the newspaper, so we hopefully don't repeat the same errors again.

You, sir, just made me think. You made me realize that quality is definitely being antagonized by the community's strive for quantity. When I joined this paper I said to myself that I would expand or at least maintain the level of vigor that this newspaper brings to the public each month, but apparently I was wrong. This huge ball of horse dung you just threw at my face suddenly made me want to make this wish of mine reality again, and this time for real. It would be cruel to say I doubt the quality of my colleagues' work, but mark my words, if you, Skitee, have a negative impression of my work once again in the next issue, I will legitimately resign!
