So its the last day of school and im off for the summer.I want to tell you about the fort snelling and zoo field trip.My classmastes were Nathan, Alex ,Brennin,Julie,Cassie,Kadence,Conner,Dylan and Mr schwartz our teacher. So its 8:00 Am and we pack up for the trip we live a long way from Minneapolis. Our school was Clarkfield area charter school Minnesota  Finally the bus arrived and the trip was 3 hours of boringness. When we arrive to fort snelling Mr schwartz told us to look at the gift shop first but not purchase anything until the tour was over.To the tour.First we walked to the gates and a man dressed like a soldier let us in.Our first station was the school inside the fort. The woman dressed in a old clothing told us how life was fo the kids in the school and the difference between modern schools. When we leave we hear a musket go off.Our next station was the laundry a woman dressed told us that washing clothes took many people and how much a maid was paid. After that walking to the

US and indian agency station another musket shot goes off.So a man dressed as a soldier told us about the relation between white settlers and Native americans at the time of the building of the fort i kinda fell asleep on that one.Next was the captains quarters a man dressed as a soldier told us life in the building and who lived in it i forgot who lived in it but he showed us a tour of the downstairs only we had to guess the rooms were.Nathan found the play room first and a bunch of old toys were in it.Next was the great part about the fort.A man dressed as a soldier with white clothes and a hat on holding a musket with bayonet. He told us how to march and we marched up to the

compound and turned he told us that to prevent a calvary charge was to have no gaps between us and to hold our pretend guns straight so we could get the image of aline of men with no gaps a wall of guns with bayonets next he showed us how the loading worked for the musket and he fired a shot i covered my ears to prevent any loud noise shocking me it wasnt that loud at all though.Next on the tour was the medical center. The oldman dressed as a doctor told us how the doctors took bullets out of arms and legs he took to volunteers Cassie and Dylan to help us get the image of checking a heart beat ,Of course this was pretend and no one was harmed. Our next place on the tour was the backsmith he repaired tools, nails and other things not including guns or muskets. He put a nail on the fire hammered it so it would break off and heated it up again.Last he pulled it out hammered it again and dipped it in cold cold water. He passed it around.Last on our tour was the round tower wich was the oldest building in the fort as when i went up it Brennin refused to go up ,but later he came up when i got up there i ran to my friends and looked at the amazing veiw of the city highways and trees. Finally the tour was over we went over to the gift shop i had twenty bucks and i bought a union civil war cap and a bucket of collectable soldiers

Nathan bought a coon hat and thers bought plushies and other neat things there. The trip was over we went to a zoo it was good but there isnt much to tell.Well that raps up my story... time to celebrate the end of school have a great summer bye.

It is a good story, but a bit hard to choke down due to lack of paragraph breaks..please edit your post and add a few line breaks here and there to make it easier for others to read :)
