I bought about $30 so far to have an m2 combo. For M3, I don't think you should spend that much, but having more than one combination is probably nice. So, get maybe 2-3 combinations and play around to get skilled with them.

Quite a lot... but mainly when I began the game and some last year. Back then were crazy prices and no DCC... Instead of getting 700k for $100, you only got about 10k (100k in todays currency).

 

Anyways, if you got extra money you can spend on the game then go for it but you never know where the game can lead itself. One day you spend $100's and the next the game is changed drastically - not what you paid for...
