The Guide To 'Sandbox'

Hello XMX here and i have recently been writing some drafts of guides to maps.............and on.........and on...........drone.............And here is my first. Sorry it isn't saying so much about the map but i will write one guide up each month and before dat i will edit the topic and add vids and stuff.

Sandbox is very popular. I used to hate it but i was messing about on Youtube and i found a video by Tanki236. His tanki name is Wolfchantze and AROH.CITY. The video was a sandbox gameplay and i couldn't stop watching!

I think Wolf is one of the best players on tanki.

A few days later I went on a sandbox battle and of course as usual came 1st because of my experiance. It was a control point battle and my team were losing 96 to 2!. My team mates were using m1 isida with m1 titan and m0 twins with m0 hornet. I was using m1 smokey and m1 wasp. The isida was very useful in healing me. The m0 twins were not much help against the other team which had m1 thunder and viking on the team. I will tell you more about smokey against rail in my Silence and Iran Guides but smokey and wasp against rail can end in the wasp being destroyed but but if you know how you can skill the rail in many ways.isida can work well but I tend to think that in small games such as 4 a side or 3 a side, isidas aren't that effective as there aren't that many people to heal. Also, I think that in small games, every tank most be devoted to the attack or defense, you don't really need the isida but it can be useful. The thing to note is when in a sandbox cp, the thing that annoys me is that people still bring hornets and wasps into the game. Only tanks you should bring should be medium and heavy hulls as little mobility and speed is needed.

Hornet is good for normal sandbox since there is a wider area of play. For sandbpx cp's, the best teams i've seen so far usuallly consist of vikings and mammoths with smokys, twins and freezes for turrets. ( sometimes firebirds work quite well but freezes work much better due to the fact once they attack, usually the defender can't turn their turret quick enough around to attack back.

If you are playing a control point battle and you are in the center of the map start at the middle and then suddenly drive suddenly foward and the just as suddenly drive backwards and fire at the same time. This will angle your tank of the edge so you can shoot the enemy below. keep repeating this remembering to use the turret. I managed to get a kill streak of 32 without dying using this method.

Me and thunder fearless and freekill99

If you are using rail i would always stay on the ground using the walls to hid yourself. Also use your turrent!!!!! you see people forgeting about the z and x buttons and when me or another skilled player :) attacks them we can see they can't use there turret so i go round the back of them and when the tank turns i move with it shooting all the time!! :D.

Sandbox isnt my best map but if you have any questions please PM me. And if you are a old forumer please post anymore tips i can add.

I don't know i love the look of m3 hornet.... But i agree control point battles need a heavier hull e.g Mammouth

Yeah I also think Isida is only fun to use when there are more people:) he probably didn't earn much XP from it

Yea tanki236's vid is quite old but I still love it

I have also watched his video. I think he has one video after rebalance, with M3 thunder and M3 dictator. He went full drugging in Iran CTF.
