Damage Pop Ups

I saw this during the gameplay video on the official tanki site, where a wasp hull got hit by smoky shots and it showed how much damage was done, now wouldn't it be awesome if that was implemented into tanki?

Thoughts on this?

Yea,pretty nice idea, but i think lag will increase with all that pop-ups,especially for freezes and firebirds who are shooting multiple targets

Yeah, that is why I think that if this was to be implemented, then there should be an option to disable the pop ups in settings.

This is, sort of like HP system, some dude with smoky or thunder is searching for target but never is able to kill one. He knows all the HPs of the tank in the battle there, depending on their modification. Everyone will aim for the one who is had the most HP reduced by a shot.

The fact that you don't know how much hp your opponent has, add's a whole new dimension to game play, you shall have to have mental calculations of how much hp your enemy has...

So no, I don't really like this idea..

But what I like about this idea is that it doesn't actually give that away, it only contributes to more precise calculations and tactics for experienced players. For instance, a Rail might do a low amount of damage with his first shot, and so realise that his enemy will not be destroyed on the second, causing him to think more tactically. Thumbs up from me :)

As split said, feedback is the place for this, but it would be ok.

The problem would be that then you would know how much it takes to kill an opponent.

I agree tanki should be more like real life, but considering it is a video game not going to happen. If it was realistic there would be 2 guns smoky and thunder see

A good idea, but...

In a huge battle there would be very many floating numbers, I'm not sure if that would cause extreme lag or not...even though they would be floating moving pixels which would certainly put some strain on your CPU during a heavy gunfight.

An option to turn the floating numbers on and off would be a great thing.
