Do you think that the rank limits are a bit too generous?

I think a couple of weeks ago the rank limits were extended. Although this is nice because it lets players take part in more battles. However, I think there is s small problem:

In the picture above, Staff Sergeants can play with Third Lieutenants. But the lower ranked players cannot compete with the higher ranked players; it is very hard for M0 combos to fight against M1 combos. Another issue is knowledge of the game. The Warrant Officers will probably go straight to the battle field to attack the other team, while the lower ranked players will probably stay back on the defensive. It can get pretty annoying when half of your team is filled with Isidas playing defense.

I think to solve this issue Tanki can create a filter button that will hide any battles above a certain rank. That way players will not be discouraged.

The just want the lower ranks to buy. It's rare for me now to find battles with my own rank. It's either newbs or Generalissimos. But with Generalissimos for CTF I always need Isida.

And it sucks when low ranks plug up the Battles whereas nobody team kicks etc.

The changed limits do seem to allow a lot of low-rank/skill players into higher rank battles - but some of them do learn from how the high ranked players engage in the game...

In my other, higher account, I'll play in the battles with higher ranks using Isida, Hornet and lots of life packs (Isidas are a prime target). I like playing CTF with the higher ranks because there is more action and less camping. The battle isn't at the base, it's somewhere between the flags/bases. Though recently I played CTF with the higher ranks and my team was playing like Newbes.

I hate Isidas that don't heal. I saw one that was constantly on the attack and never healed anyone, though he was surrounded by teammates with less than half life trying to get his attention.

that is true its a better more annying but more fun in a way for the lower ranked players although it still discourages the lower ranks.

You can choose which battles you would join. And if you do that, you can look to the ranks who can join. Maybe the tanks of higher ranks are very strong and fast, but you can choose your tank to be good. When I fight with tanks with a very high rank, I fight different and try to kill them fast, when they see you, you're dead. But, when you fight with high ranks, you see how they fight, and learn tings of them.

- so, choose the battles with ranks you would join, and if there's not the battle you want, you make him bu yourself -

Extending rank limits is really worthless in my opinion. The main idea of it is to allow friends with high rank differences to play together, but I believe that it isn't useful at all. What fun is it for a low ranked player with m0/m1 guns and hulls to play against higher ranked people with m2/m3 tanks? Getting pwned over and over again is anything but fun.

There's nothing wrong with this. The lower ranked players can just avoid such a game, but what if, as happens often, a high ranked player has a friend at a lower rank? They can just not play with each other? I don't think that's sensible. Rather, there should be a possibility for such range of players to play in, even if it is unlikely that they will ever want to.

Absolutely right. It's a pain when all i see are generalissimo battle's throughout the list. And, when i join one because i cannot find another battle with mostly my rank, i get kicked.

I am a stupid noob? Let me tell you I love playing DM's with people lower than mine because half of the people end up using M0 Hornet and M0 Wasp. As a Smoky/Mammoth user, these players are the easiest to kill (3 hits for Wasp, 4 for Hornet).

Ideas on feedback please.

?? Stop saying that already. The forum is for ideas and discussion. The feedback only gives ideas. Why would I post this here - to not want other people to talk about it?
