Are shafts OP?

They get to aim horizontally and vertically not just horizontally like everyone other turret. Other than that I'm fine because the max power with the ability of having more precision rather than everyone else isn't exactly "fair."

I understand it's the "sniper" class and it should stay all the way in the back of the map and max damage people. But it can sit on any terrain since it can aim vertically as well. Yes other tanks can "aim" vertically but that's some auto aim that if you give it a good angle you can shoot above, however to aim down you have to risk your tank falling down a ledge.

It's max damage 120, 150, 195, 214.

They can 1shot most hulls. Also, they are much faster at firing than the railgun, and it does more damage.

I didn't put this in complaints because I don't believe I had a solid argument. Maybe some feedback could build up a better argument and bring up a possible solution for a nerf.

It was already nerfed -_-

I'm just looking at the current statistics, and it doesn't seem balanced.

At m1 it can only one shot wasp/hornet ( m0-m2). At M2 it can one shot most m2 hulls except viking, mammy, and Titan if remember correctly. At m3 it can only one shot ( if i'm correct) wasp/hornet.

Now remember, during the battle, nobody is always at full hp. And just by looking at the reload time, it would be easy to destroy a mammoth in two shots, since their turret is in the center and they need to show that huge front.

The way the turret moves from side to side is very slow so it all evens out in the end if you get behind one

This comes at the expense of mobility and the ability to look around rapidly, both of which are key parts of staying alive!    There are very few maps where you can't use counter-sniper tactics to disrupt a shaft player, especially in a team.  They are hugely vulnerable to being "flanked" on most maps, or you can get team-mates to act as decoys and follow up with a railgunner (or two.)  Low-skilled shaft players are easy to spot (and kill), even on heavy hulls.

I have seen a glitch, when you get shot by a railgun or another shaft, sometimes you go out the scope mode and lose all the power, without releasing the space bar.

Shaft is great at low ranks. It sucks in high ranks. I got a 70.00 D/L with my alternative account, while I got 0.33 D/L in Test Server.

Maybe as people get more skills they learn how to deal with Shafts?

Shaft is pretty good, if you know how to use it though. On test it's good against the high ranked noobs. Lower ranks (recruit - sergeant-major) very good. 47|0 in highland on my test/noob account (master corporal)

The reason being is that there is nearly no cover on highland and once the enemy spawns you one shot them then they spawn again one shot them rinse and repeat.

Kill steal all the way. It's not over-powered. The reason why it can move vertically also is because if it could only shoot horizontally, then how could it be called a Sniper gun, and how would say the Shafts on Red-team snipe the shafts on Blue team in Silence-map, not to mention that while in scope-mode the Shaft can't move its Tank. Furthermore, while scoping it can get un-balanced very easily. I was using Mammoth/Twins and I was literally like 9 meters from a Mammoth/Shaft, and he missed me. You can either drug a 2x Armor, or just try your best to make a run for it.

Maybe since Shaft was gone from Battle so long, most people forgot how to run from them. :)  :P

I somewhat agree with you. I could 1-shot the same tank over and over again if he's a Hornet or Wasp in Highland. B) However, I guess you'll just have to either run for it, hope he doesn't notice you, or hope for the fact that your teammates will either distract or kill him.

I've used it on silence and on highland. I don't really think it's fair. The whole thing about not moving, why do you have to move anyway? You're in cover far from the enemy. I like however how the scope shakes like a person is breathing. Maybe if they increase that shaking it would be better.
