Are shafts OP?

I don't own a shaft yet, but that's the next weapon besides the isdia (or whatever its name is) that I want. If you got responsible teammates, the enemy won't ever be able to get within range to shoot you in the first place. As far as shaking, my computer screen is jerky enough, without a jerky scope.

I had an m2 Shaft before rebalance. That was an incredible weapon, but it wasn't even OP then. Ricochets and Freezes on fasting moving hornets dominated you.

Is it possible that if you are playing low rank games, the average tank speed is not fast enough to run from Shaft? In higher rank games, Hornets and Wasps can run if they spot the Shaft soon enough.

TL;DR: Shaft has already been nerfed, as you rank up you will learn how to deal with Shafts and they will become more ineffective.

I've been playing in games of ranks up to the two squares.

Just because something has been nerfed doesn't mean it is balanced. It takes hundred's of tries to get something perfect. Sometimes you don't even have to touch the item itself, you might need to change the surroudnings. for example: spawn system, scope shake,

I've used it on silence and on highland. I don't really think it's fair. The whole thing about not moving, why do you have to move anyway? You're in cover far from the enemy. I like however how the scope shakes like a person is breathing. Maybe if they increase that shaking it would be better.

Experienced players know most of the "camping grounds" where you can take cover with a Shaft.  Once they get hit the first time they know *exactly* where you are.  They will then stalk you, and take you out - singularly or in pairs.  Railguns tend to be the preferred "counter-sniper" weapon, and again at higher skill levels players have the accuracy to make this count.  Once they have "blown" you from a camping ground, they will then aim to prevent you getting back there at all costs.    Its harder if the snipers work in pairs or have Isiada back-up - but that increases the fun of the hunt!

The second you get shot, they know where you are. Hmmmm I wonder how that works when you're playing on a large map, with lots of cover. Bullet tracers? Only on a railgun.

Anyway, any competent player will recognize enemy movement, and if they're a railgunner or a shafter they will find a different spot for the time being.

I like to only kill one person when there is a Shaft. That Shaft.

They get to aim horizontally and vertically not just horizontally like everyone other turret. Other than that I'm fine because the max power with the ability of having more precision rather than everyone else isn't exactly "fair."

I understand it's the "sniper" class and it should stay all the way in the back of the map and max damage people. But it can sit on any terrain since it can aim vertically as well. Yes other tanks can "aim" vertically but that's some auto aim that if you give it a good angle you can shoot above, however to aim down you have to risk your tank falling down a ledge.

It's max damage 120, 150, 195, 214.

They can 1shot most hulls. Also, they are much faster at firing than the railgun, and it does more damage.

I didn't put this in complaints because I don't believe I had a solid argument. Maybe some feedback could build up a better argument and bring up a possible solution for a nerf.

The other turrets have auto aim. Just point and the system will do the vertical for you. Shaft gets to control which vertical tank to shoot, the system will just shoot the closest vertical tank.

For other turrets it's a bit sketchy. It works at times, and others it doesn't. I know you have to perfectly aim at them obviously. But idk why it doesn't work. I even tried backing up and firing and going forward and firing to manually move my turret.

Shaft has an yellow/orange impact "splash" where it his, which can show you which direction the shot came from when you are hit, and if its at a high angle whether it was above you or not.  Its not as obvious as the railgun, but it is there. You don't always see it - but then they hit you in the back(!) - as the camera pans back for respawn you often get a chance to check on the location.    If you are playing on a large map use shaft protection paint, and don't cross "open ground" alone (go in groups!) without an armour or speed power-up.

Maybe 99% of the people I play with will learn how to navigate the map from a little yellowish orangish dot that hit their tank. P.S. On my shaft account I play with people around the yellow box with lines inside rank.

So you play at WO1 level, right?  That's sort of where tactics start to pay off for those that have the skills, and the others are stuck on a long slow march up to WO5.   However - just because you are playing with low skilled players doesn't mean that Shaft is OP;  now the ranks in battles have been expanded you might find some more serious opposition coming your way....

It's not overpowered... it's good at long range snipin' from a secured point... at close range, your screwed with a shaft as your weapon
