Lived a bit than many people here, it would seem. Every year brings something new.

Thing I laughed at the most was swimming with Dusky dolphins in the deep, deep waters off Kaikoura.

Doing a tandem skydive from 12,000' over Wanaka was pretty cool too.

Skiing next week will be awesome...

^u adventurous, too bad my country doesnt offer such sports >.>

You have to seek out the things your country can offer that are special and different; but do something new every year.

Even lying out in the country, away from city lights on a clear, moonless night I would count as an amazing thing to do.

O.o I have no mind

Ah - a philosopher! Descartes and Kierkegaard had a fair bit to say on all that mind stuff, but its too heavy going for me.

I lean more to the applied, myself, like Sun Tzu:

"With regard to NARROW PASSES

if you can occupy them first, let them be strongly garrisoned and await the advent of the enemy.

the army forestall you in occupying a pass, do not go after him if the pass is fully garrisoned,

but only if it is weakly garrisoned.

With regard to PRECIPITOUS HEIGHTS

if you are beforehand with your adversary,

you should occupy the raised and sunny spots, and there wait for him to come up."

Well - New Zealand has a lot of mountains and water!

Just like Scotland .. most weekends  I climb a mountain ,clean air and  crystal streams.Sometimes you will not meet a single soul as it's remote and when you reach the summit

the views are amazing.gets me every time.

Nice - there's a biggish hill behind my house I should go up more often - goes up to a respectable 457 metres and the views are stunning.
