Smokey M2 or Thunder M3

I know there is a topic somewhere to ask about what guns and hulls to buy but I can't find it using the search I tried for 10 minutes.  

I'm about to rank up to where I can buy smokey m2.  I currently have Thunder m2 and smokey m1 and I buy far enjoy using m2 thunder much more than smokey m1.  My question is, should I buy smokey m2 when I rank up soon or should I wait one more rank until brigadier and buy thunder m3 instead?

 

I've been messing around on the test server with Thunder m3 and smokey m2 to see what one I like better, but its impossible to get a real feel for it since everybody on test server uses mammoth m3s and are fully drugged with unlimited health packs all the time.

 

So far, I've been doing much better with the smokey m2 on test server but I'm not fully convinced thats what it would be like in real games.

 

Can I have some good advice from some high rankers (please not just low ranks looking at stats)?

I am sure most people will say Smoky M2. The critical chance is actually more frequent than written.

M3 Thunder can beat smokey if there was no critical hit and sometimes, of course, smokey with critical hits can beat a thunder user unless if they use Savanna. So far I've been using smokey m2, critical hit are sometime that frequent in a battle and some other time you make like 10 or so critical which is little.

If u want to shoot multiple targets and self-destruct everytime use Thunder

If u think you`re lucky use smoky

Just buy smoky, lower rank, cheaper and more powerful ^_^  (only against noobs thunder, pro thunder don't have any problem with smokys

Smoky! In Polygon DM I caught up to a M1 Viking/M2 Rico with my Wasp M1/ Smoky M1. Criticals be flying everywhere man!

 

With Thunder you're probably in the front lines killing every shred of Tank-life. Well with Smoky I think you'll have to withdraw from that tactic unless you're drugging or have an Isida to back you up. Stay behind a little and keep firing. Smoky is unlike Thunder remember. At ranged, Thunder's damage decreases dramatically. Smoky, not decreased much. Along with the firing rate, criticals be everywhere.

i say get thunder , in the thick of it you just can't rely on smoky , thunder is more dependable and with drugs it's great, i have them both m2 but i like thunder better and is cheaper than smoky by 58 600 crystals to get it to m3

i will soon get my thunder to m3 but smokey i dont think i will ever upgrade more

Smoky m2, definately... People call me critical hacker very often when I use smoky m2. Also, look at all the protection paints against thunder and the difference between m2 and m3 thunder isn't that much.

Neither is Smoky's difference between the M2 and M3 version.

im a low ranker but i would say thunder m3 i have thunder m1 it doesnt bother me if i self-destruct but im saving up for thunder m2

Thunder is great at the earlier ranks, but there will be Emerald and Rustle users around Brigadier... you'll see them all the time, in every battle.
