Glitch in Iran

I am not sure if this is how the sprite is meant to be, but when you put a tank over the hole where the light is supposed to go through,  instead of the light at the bottom being a shadow, it is still a light. You can see in the photos:

I talked with the creator of Iran on this when Iran came out years ago;

 

The shadows in Iran are not light based, there is no light source in Iran. This is how the shadows in Iran work.

  • All shadows that you see on the ground are actually the textures themselves with different colours etc.
  • Even the fog/dust around the map is an illusion, turn off the skybox and the fog/dust will disappear.
  • That light beam is probably a partially transparent prop as well!

Basically speaking, every Shadow that you see is just the ground itself coloured a little differently to look like a shadow while not needing any extra processing power from the processor apart from just treating it as another prop. This is the reason that Iran doesn't work well on some old computers with limited memory, so and so.
