Hello guys, in this article I'll be talking about my experience about my garage. I've been playing Tanki for 20 months now, but you are only concerned about the 7 last months since the Rebalance. I'll tell you chronologically which weapons, tanks, paints I bought, how good they were, if they were still good three ranks above, which hull I prefer, etc..
 
Rebalance (17/12/2012)
 
After the refund coming with the rebalance, I got back 'only' 18k crystals, which is 180k with the new currency. I waited a few weeks for the New Year's sale (playing with Wasp Smoky M0), and I decided to buy that combo which was not that feared before rebalance, but it used to give a LOT of points for healing. Hornet - Isida.

 
New Year 25% Sale
 
-Hornet M2: This tank, at Second Lt rank, is the strongest in my opinion, it has a good health with an excellent speed at this level. Most of the others tanks are M1, Hornet was my first M2. I don't regret for a second buying it, it is a very fun tank and is very effective on the battlefield.

-Isida M2: The M2 is still effective at high ranks, so it is really over powered at Second Lt. It gives you half the health you are getting of the enemy, which is a lot. You can even heal a teammate faster than a freeze will damage him! Amazing.

-Alien : This paint looks good and helped me a lot in Isida fights. I always won when it was Isida vs Isida! Even against Isida M3s.  ^_^  But it lacks protection against other weapons. I have given it a good mark because it helped me a lot against Isidas and it is cheap.

50% Smoky Sale (08/02/2013)
 
After discovering Isida's amazing power, I bought M1 Smoky at an amazing sale.
 
-Smoky M1: It is still good at Second Lt if you know how to use it properly, and as it is very cheap, it is a very good way to change your mind after two months of Isida. But you have to play with low ranks.

50% Firebird sale (14/02)
 
-Firebird M1: I never used it a lot, but it is not a great weapon, it is not worth its price at First Lt. It only gives a tiny advantage in the 'Wasp-Firebird' games.

Victory in Europe Day 25% Sale (08/05)
 
-Railgun M2: Railgun ROCKS! It is a very effective weapon, with high and low ranks. It is only easier while playing with low ranks as while drugging, you can kill most of the enemies with one shot!

-Freeze M2: I had crystals left after buying Thunder, and I didn't know what to choose between Ricochet and Freeze. Birthstone told me to get Freeze and I listened to him. I preferred my Railgun, so I didn't use it a lot at all, but only with the few games I played with it; I wasn't skilled with Hornet and Freeze. BUT Freeze has a very long charge, and a quick reloading time, a process which allows massive killing while drugging and attacking. And Freeze is fun to use with Hornet, even if I have better D/L with other combos, you can spin around Mammoths and destroy them easily!

Tanki's Birthday 25% Sale
 
When the sale week came, I only crystals for one M2; I couldn't decide between Ricochet, Thunder, Dictator and Hunter. I decided that a gun would be better, and as I couldn't choose between Thunder and Rico, I bought the first one in the sale. ^_^
 
-Thunder M2: That weapon is just amazing, especially at M2; and at Captain rank. While drugging, you can one-shot some tanks! Its stats are almost the same as M3 Thunder looking at damage/shot, but the turning speed is slower. I love using it in team games as well as in deathmatches . It is really good at kill stealing and the splash damage is really helpful. The shockwave is so powerful! You can often kill two tanks dueling (eg. two Freezes shooting at each other)

-Twins M1: I had a few crystals left, I decided to buy a gun but my goal wasn't using it, but being closer to M2 once I rank to Lt Colonel. However, while using it, it wasn't strong with Hornet.

3rd July
 I decided to buy M1 Shaft to try it, as I wanted to buy it M2 as soon as I ranked to Major.

 

-Shaft M1 : Even if I saw a lot of complaints about Shaft being underpowered, Shaft M1 did a great job as it can kill in one shot Hornets M2, which is really popular at my rank.

4th july
I ranked to Major, and finally decided to buy Firebird rather than Shaft. That day I also received my Reporter powers - with the Reporter paint.
 
-Mammoth M2 : After 7 months of hornet, I was amazed by mammoth's health, but really annoyed by its slow speed. However after being used to it, it turned out to be an incredible hull. This hull, which is still used by some Generalissimos and used by the majority of those who want a heavy hull at Commander, is overpowered at Major. You can easily forget its lack of speed but its health. A Hornet using Double Armor will still have less health than you, and while drugging, no one can stop you! You can go everywhere with this hull - you can have fun with low ranks, hold your own against high ranks, small maps and medium maps will open their arms to you... It is quite amazing and I recommend it for everyone.

-Firebird  M2 : I didn't know what to choose between Shaft, Ricochet and Firebird. I finally bought Firebird, and I don't regret it at all.  In the first battles I was disappointed, it was barely powerful and the reloading time was terrible, but after a few battles I understood its amazing power. It doesn't work the same way in Team and DeathMatch games, in team game, you'd better go with a fast hull and burn the enemy with half of your charge, and hide; while in Deathmatches, you have more chances to get kill stolen, so it is safer to burn with all the charge with a heavy tank, and to hide or travel while reloading. You can also easily steal kills from Railguns. The only bad side is the popularity of Freeze, which un-burn your enemy whatever side the Freeze is on. And you also have to make crucial decisions: if your flag taker is frozen, but your Freeze doesn't have some charge left, should you fire and give him the opportunity to capture your flag? or you should do nothing but let the freeze take care of him? Well for me Firebird is a very interesting weapon which works well on almost every map and which is 100% worth its price.

-Reporter : As I don't use Isida anymore, Alien is quite useless for me. I was using paints such as Green, White or Forester until I got the Reporter paint. Now, I use it as my main paint, a few players do notice that it is not the usual White paint and that's why I enjoy this paint.

Now, I use everything which is in my Garage, apart from Isida and Freeze. I really like this garage and I actually want to upgrade Ricochet and Shaft to M2 next.

And actually, Twins Hornet is one of my favorite combos. It's fast, gives you the ability to rush in and flip tanks, make them miss, throw them off balance, etc. I'd give it a higher rating.

I do share your opinion on Thunder and Railgun, those two guns never get boring. :D

um... I have both now, and I think they are very diferent and similar at the same moment.  But if you could choose one, get railgun, even if I don't use it a lot now, its better than Shaft in  1 vs 1 and better when you get to M3s ranks ;)

Lol no railgun sucks now because they're is lots of paints protection against it. But if u thinking of getting shaft m2 you are very intelligent its really good don't get rico m2 its underpowered :(
