thanks dilsharox for your feed back,Thunder is all i use and sometimes i dont mind using Smoky when my kills are too close and self destruction happens, damn thing it is but smoky is great for knocking opponents aim off center but thunder is my sole weapon of choice.See how I go,im tired of always using the 'double damage' or "druggin'' as  others call it to try and keep up with their 'one shot' kills after you've hit them 3 or four times. Its not the skill factor because im quite proficient with my hits and aim  but after the third or forth consecutive hit on the same opponent, using no armor as well,it gets a little ridiculous and you wonder whats the point.

Does this mean we all should use Railguns if this is the case??????It obviously seems that way i believe but I wont be one to change,Ill just get an Isida and pump up energy levels all day.......GREAT FUN..........NOT!!!!!!!!

your welcome

now i dont use thunder m2 i use either smoky or fire m2 but i love thunder

From what I gather, you're just upset (talking to Mouseinthehouse) that Thunder is not how it used to be. If that's the case, freaking adapt already. For almost a year now Thunder's damage has been reduced so I don't understand why you are arguing now. Anyways Thunder has become a better gun overall.

If you want a gun to 1 hit more get Shaft. And if you're tired of getting one hit get a better hull. Gees -_-

It damage shall be increased as it takes about 4~6 shots to destroy a viking on m2 and above... maybe at least 70.

And the reloading speed is a bit slower than it requires for this turret users. ^_^  <_<

Thanks for your advice pizzaslad,i think????? Ive only been on TO for the past three months so i dont know how Thunder was over the last 12 months as you mentioned .Call me in experienced if you like as probably many would  but  from  the beginning to where i am now, comparing carefully the Railgun for one ,the Thunder has been left behind, way behind. Now I see why there are so many Railgun operators. Each to their own, people use what they please.

You say im upset,of course Im upset when you take a liking to a turret, its all good and still all new at the start ,getting a feel for it all but as time goes on ,it doesnt take much to see when a turret is getting out-performed in hitting power  compared to other turrets  ,its so obvious.

You say about changing the hull??,so a Railgun with a Hornet or Wasp can run a song and dance around me as well, lol ????

As an exercise I spent ,believe it or not a good 10-11 hours on TO last night but for once I actually changed to a Railgun turret.Took a little to get used too but the amount of single shot kills that I achieved was amazing, using that peek a boo style of shooting, not so easy gotta say but was impressed.Thought I would just let you know, not here to upset anyone or to compare skills, just a loyal Thunder user that wants to stay with it but for it to be shown some "lovin' as well.

Thanks for everyones comments, cheers all. :)

isida+viking/dic+digital is a nightmare for rail users  mostly in small maps (also medium maps)

but in large maps isida's short range & the low speed of a medium hull cant dominate the battle u may have a chance if u drug

@MouseInTheHouse: Eh. Railguns don't bother me at all.

Medium hull + Digital paint = Goodbye Railguns

Medium hull + Digital paint + Isida M3 = Railgun's worst nightmare

No :)

1vs1 Berlin or Madness no supply or supply box DM against railgun-wasp :D

Thunder is a great turret on most maps against just about every turret/hull combination... except isida. It's so good because it defies opposing tanks with relatively strong shots, but also because it's hard to escape from a thunder, whether you're behind a wall or up close to one. Unless you're an isida, and will just drive up to a thunder to heal yourself and cause the thunder to inflict self damage.

Thunder is an awesome defensive gun too, (right behind freeze) especially against a formidable pair of an isida healing another tank. Usually it's smartest to shoot down the isida first, but with thunder usually you can do that and still cause damage to the other tank approaching your flag. Same concept for large assaults on your concentrated base, where you can effectively diminish a large number of enemies from a distance.

Most of my tanki career has ridden on the power of thunder! I would recommend it with hornet or viking (and a thunder protection paint).

I was using Thunder while my shaft was in the shop. ;)

Anyway, there was a hopeless 4-10 Monte Carlo CTF rout underway, but I jumped in and fired about 30 shots,

killing 3 railguns and a smoky hornet. But when I dashed (plodded) across the bridge, all of the

winning team were hiding in a row behind the flag. The whole top line was deserted on both sides.

Unable to retreat, I fired my last shot before I got killed, hitting a railgun.

He survived and killed me...THREE of the weaker tanks next to him exploded from the shrapnel !! :o

So that is definitely a plus for Thunder. The downside is that people will go nose to nose with you and

you get killed along with them.

All told I was 7 kills, 7 lost. B)

You know what,I was just in a battle with a Railgun ,same rank and out of 10 confrontations with him,it was 10 kills in his favor, all one shot kills where on my third hit on him he would hit me once and all over.Using railgun paint protection and all that crap it just doesnt do it anymore.

Maybe he was the same rank, using a different Mod: with upgrades it can be twice as hard to kill an M2 with an M1. I have had some luck on Monte Carlo where there is no "crossfire" to kill you immediately, and even without drugging, I can hit one guy with a critical and the next guy is too tough to kill.

Thunder/Viking -- just like shaft, there is no "peekaboo" so you just take the hit if you have to, and try to get the guy BEFORE he shoots you.

(flash...oh no!)

I stood out on an open platform, and only 2 non-railgunners managed to hit me, and even with auto-aim, some of them were just so far off me that it didn't score.

There are some things you can do to limit your self-damage.  Any good Thunder Guide will include at least two to three tips.
