i have my m3 fully upgraded and i can tell you now if i am in a team match struggling with my other weapons not having much fun

then i go back to my garage and change to my thunder

i always seem to come back into the game with a big smile on my face

The decrease in damage is just too much for Thunder. For some reason i find i cant two shot a non MUed M3 hornet even at point blank range despite the fact that 2 Thunder M3 shots should deal 180 hp of damage whereas a hornet is just 166. Well may be i need to spend about 200k+ on MUs to 2 shot a Hornet which by then will be M4 so i'll never two shot them. Thunder needs a buff.

^^Won't happen. Tanki considers the weapon balanced now. Me, I'm waiting for the nerf of Firebird, which is way overdue, having long since outpaced Railgun as the #1 turret, at least in non-pro battles.

 

Thunder has pretty much only one use now. Capture Point Carnage on double damage. Think about the large ramp in Polygon raining damage on the lone point which serves as the map's nexus.

 

 

Good times, but I am staring to think that Isida might be my next M3 purchase.

Well but capturing the point is always more rewarding so that means you really cant do much with thunder these days. i should consider buying a smoky then.  

Tanki only buffs non-popular turrets these days and from what i'm seeing thunder may be the 2nd most popular turret(assumption) so as you said no more tweaking will be done to it.

 

Anyways my strategy with Thunder is get emerald so my self damage is almost negligible.

My opinion- it is good when enemy owns it. it is much easier to kill him for me with railgun.

but otherwise thunder with double damage is like railgun without druggs. it is quite usefull for enemys, when im hiding behind walls to reload.

 

worst thing why viking + thunder dies from me is because when i shot him, he loose alot of hp so he is almost dead but he is too slow for runing away from me, so he self destructs himself.

Lets make it fair give the railgunner a thunder paint too then the thunder can only win if he is way too skilled like making him lose aim which is very hard do do with thunder. Dont worry keep killing railguns at your rank because the M1 upgrade of thunder is pretty damn good but when you reach M3 and play an all M3 battle you pretty much cant do anything without hitting 3.

While thunder m1 has metal and has more then m0s damage

And thunder m2 has more metals then m0 and m2 and has more damage

Yeah realized that after i made my post. Anyways at that rank everyone use supplies extensively so may be that why he didn't understand thunder's weakness. Thunder's really effective with drugs that's for sure.

I find Viking to be better due to its extra stability. it'll be hard to knock my aim then but Hunter is a great hull too only thing is its a bit light and unstable under attack by twins or Vulcan.

Viking could be better, and hunter is good if it's light cause u can have more air time and makes it easier to catch gold and it's not unstable if your using twins and hunter (I know it's off topic but I'm saying just to let u know) Edited September 29, 2015 by Mr_X1

honestly I regret buying Thunder M3...The only effective and good way I find for it is paired with mammoth in Noise CTF while being on the red side. Because you can get multiple kills when enemies squeezing thru tunnels from downside to middle grounds...aaand that's about it.

In every other situation my Smoky M2 just puts Thunder M3(even sometimes against others Thunders M3s) in to shame. Plus there is so many people with paints protective against thunder, so it's even worse.

Don't buy Thunder M3.

its okay exept reload is too slow <_<

it isn't so slow...railgun and shaft has higher reload time however railgun deals nearly the same damage on the same modofication

The part about higher ranks= better equipment is true. But that doesn't stop high rank players from using thunder. I see them all the time. Granted, they aren't always as popular as, say, firebird or vulcan, but they definitely make an appearance often.
