No offence, but i don't like thunder at all.  It is useless at long ranges and there isn't a worse turret to us at short range (maybe with the exception of striker ).  It is only good at medium ranges, which can be used to great success but personally I'd like a turret that is good in at least a few different situations.  I mean thunder is the easiest turret to defend against  (if your close to it then get in their face, if your far away, then let them hit you and do little damage). It is so annoying going right up to one who has low health and then they put on a double damage and then fire.  They self-destruct, leaving you with low health and a no-kill .  If you like thunder then don't listen to me, but if you like a bit more versatility then choose a different turret  .

It's "weak" damage is 50% which is not bad at all.  So a stock M3 at very long distance is doing ~ 430 damage. Sure it's no Rail or Shaft, but when needed it can more than tickle. And it's reload is quite respectable.

You are thinking of Smoky right?  Great at mid-range but even worse than Thunder at long range. Weak damage is 10%. Unless you get the 1-in-5 Critical surprise all it does at long range is tickle.

...but choose it if you wanna become a powerful noob drugger

Lol I have thunder and dictator m3 (fully mu) and with dd it is the most fun to kill people, you automatically want to use your drugs. So I bought a supply kit, and the healths had already been used, and dd....

I find the thunder the most versatile turret actually. The splash damage allows kills of multiple foes, kills around corners and cover, etc. It has enough pop to throw off small hulls at medium and close range. It has enough damage to make medium hulls think twice. I use it for defense and offense...short (shooting walls rather than opponent), medium and long range. Add in DD and you are talking lots more fun.

Just my two cents.

Thunder is my favorite because it has good damage and splash damage allows you to kill huge crowds of enemies, especially helpful on Polygon CP. It takes so long to reload between shots at M0 though...

If the splash damage is what attracts you are you considering the artillery instead?

Does the alteration "light weight ordinance reloader" or what ever it is reduce the impact as used in most omp thunder tricks? Just wondering as I consider ways to try more parkour

I think Thunder users should be proud. They've scared Tankmen so badly that everyone is wearing Thunder paints.

I know right Thunders are the best and should be the best weapon

I agree with this person.  Imagine there was a tank hiding in a corridor, waiting for you to come.  If you hit the area around that tank, it shows how much damage you do, giving away the hiding place.  Area damage is also a great advantage too.

truth is that if you get it at over 5 mini upgrades, then it is okay.  Besides, all the other tanks are noobs when you have M0, so you can smack them again and again and they will drive in circles.  I have done that before :)  go thunder!

Why should I choose thunder m3 over shaft/railgun m3?

I enjoy the higher fire rate with splash damage. Used wisely it is a formidable weapon for defense, midfield, and attack. I do love the shaft, but that is a different game play for me. Rico is my favorite overall.
