Thunder has benefits with splash but twins with splash is just a nerf so that is why the alt is better for twins than thunder

I hope this alteration system won't get abused by nerfing the gun's special abilities which can then be obtained back by buying an alteration. Because they just did that with Twins.

I don't use it to abuse it, I use it because without it, twins is just a mess

Not really, I prefer using the other alteration even tho the splash damage is still there which can be a disadvantage in close-quarter battles but in mid-to-long battles or maps, Twins is really good with that second alteration it has, nothing can even run from it that easily since the projectile speed is 100%, very very useful but in small maps or when enemies get closer than it is obviously a disadvantage but nonetheless it was not a good idea to do that to Twins even if it was too OP with that alteration, they should just have done same with Rico. Rico still has that alteration and they just released the splash damage one without ruining the other.

Now back to topic... Thunder went back to the way it was, pretty good. Thunder really needed this buff as the Turret was really weak, 80% of the battles you join, always there is someone who has at least 25% + protection against you so I guess they did the right thing to Thunder. What do you think about the recent change they made to Thunder?

Taking into account frequency of Protections should not be a factor in considering buffing a turret.

Those facing Thunder without protection then will find it OP.  Balance gone.

I think they increased splash radius so that isida chains are easier to kill.

Thunder m3 would still be quite low on my priority list, because many product kits give thunder protection modules.

Raiden kit is so popular in battles, and I see everyone running around with rail, thunder, twins protection module that comes with it.

And I dont have the supplies to counter the protection that other players have against thunder.

But m0 to m2 thunder are really good.

Considering how many players have protection against a Turret shouldn't be a factor, but don't just look at this, think about how often the Turret was used, how popular it was and how powerful it was among tankers and most of all player's feedback... take all these into account and you should know whether a Turret needs to be buffed or not. The protection against the Turret was just ''part'' of it and if you take a look at all the kits on the garage from the lowest kit to the last kits, you can see how many kits have Thunder protection module in them.

Once again, I come to remind you that if you are using the wasp and thunder combo for any battle thats not parkour, then you need to stop and think about your life in tanki.

Because i will tell you that that combo will not serve you as well as you think it would. So you may want to reconsider your options.

You probably should give it a try yourself before saying that, wasp thunder is a pretty good combo in the right hands but since ths splash dmg cna kill you quickly its best to roll with the Armor piercing alteration

How would you compare the smoky vs. the thunder with Armor piercing alteration employed?

When I use thunder, I like to find a good vantage point, and start shooting down at the enemies.

If you have a good protection against the Turret, you can use it anywhere you want. For me, I use 38%+ and I don't care how close or how I'm from the enemies.

True, but i still like to keep my distance from the enemies as much as i can even with protection. That way I can kill them with as minimal damage done to myself as possible.

True, but sometimes you gotta back up your fellow team mates when they are caring the flag with low health or in some other situations so it is great to not be always far from your team, sometimes being closer is also good unless you playing DM, than everyone for his/her own.

For my teams sake, i would plant myself in front of my enemies so that it would buy my teammates some time. But I won't shoot due to the fact that it could cost my team the win, because as soon as i die, my tank becomes weightless.

Hey guys wourd you MU thunder and wasp m1 to m2 or save for a kit?

Save for at least 30% sales or better.

And dont use thunder on wasp, its not going to work out like you think it is. Plus wasp is the most expensive m2 hull in the game. And the m3 wasp isn't much of an increase from m2.

If you like to use thunder on a light hull, hornet is a recommended choice, not only is it the cheapest m2 hull in the game, but it also get a huge increase at m3. Plus it more stable than wasp.

Make distance between you and target less than 60m

my thunder m2 is micro upgraded so that its max damage is 840 something. no matter what range i have never seen it hitting more then 800?

does anyone else have an opinion on this? plz share.

It will never max damage, it will never be minimum damage.

Its a random number between the 2 ranges.

Could also be that some of them have protections.
