IMO the alterations of Thunder are not worth the cristals they cost.

 

One good thing of Thunder is its splash damage, so do not change it. Protect your self with a module instead. I think it will be more usefull...

 

The higher firing rate for less damage is althoug not that good thing, like it seems. You loose 20% of your damage! Thats a lot...

 

I owned both alterations for Thunder and play without it...

I'm planning on MU'ing Thunder XT to M4 but i'm a little bit reluctant because i found out it has no alterations..

Neither of Thunder's alts are that useful, but XTs don't get MU sales.

Thunder:-

One of the turrets used by legends, its unique ability is spash damge... but, magnum, striker got that abilities where i feel thunder has become a noob turret from my side, 

once it was used to self-destruct to prevent kill gain but, Tanki developers founded that route and they blocked it. 

i always say that it goes best with viking and... WEAR THUNDER MODULE !!!

and never use it for wasp cause it makes easy to spot nd kill go with freeze to freeze you opponent.

I really love Thunder, but I feel like it's so weak in many battles on my rank. I still get a battle where I completely reck with it once in a while though. 

 

Thunder with it's splashdamage is very dangerous and a musthave on every team. However instead of the killer it was in the past it became more of a support weapon IMO.

yea, I Agree to it. Once if were in stage of dying, we can sucide and prevent gaining kills , now that attempt is prevented where we will lose kills in case of sucide. 

I feel weak in DM's. But, good in CTF, CP TDM matches right ? we get xp's all we need to do is hit and our mates will kill him and thus xp gained.

True. In a big drugbattle I struggle to get a positive d/l, cause the selfdestruct takes all my kills...

If you are die hard fan of CTF CP TDM modes then, get thunder it is useful of stealing kills its is a cousin of smoky.

Short maps ? DM lover ? then you should get Firebird or idsa or ricochet

 

I always prefer Hammer viking thunder where i can use both for medium maps and for parkours

Yup I am a fan of ctf/cp and my plan was to get sinoom kit. And yeah i really like smoky :p playing all the time with it now.

So than i will have a m2 combo and because of that i asked if i should mu my thunder ;)

Its splash damage is pretty great because you can just fire blindly at large clumps of enemies without having to worry about hitting a specific tank. You'll hit all of them at once. Works especially well in CP maps where there is just one point, like Polygon or Sandbox.

You're right, I noticed this aswell. A little bit of splash damage here and there but you don't really make that much kills anymore.

But wheehewh... when there are fewer protection paints on the battlefield; it is almost as overpowered as Magnum.

Thunder is in an interesting spot in terms of game balance. It isn't OP, but it's very effective, in my opinion the best turret at farming damage due to the decent DPM and splash. 

I agree! It's like a damage-equivelant of Isida. Although Isida is better in defending itself, Thunder can deal damage from anywhere.

It both comes down to farming score without getting that much kills. If it weren't for the extreme amount of Thunder Protection on the battlefield I'd go back to the classic Thunder/Viking combo all day.

 

Magnum is another extreme example but we all know that.

thunder has splash damage so, if u use light hulls isn't a good idea

 

and takes a little long while reloading, so its better to have a medium hull or maybe a heavy hull

A single-type of combo don't help you to face guys in Short and mid--long range maps. I to use only thunder and viking and i need some alternates. In this X-mas discounts try to buy Dictator with your 2nd turret you like to use. Buy ricochet. it suits good. So, you have 2 combo's now.

Now, Save up crystals and Supplies. Use them less. Save them and keep them for like 500+ and repair 50+ and try to balance it. But your M2's in Tanker's day or any 50% discount events. I'm sure you reach Major rank when you do this.
