Sounds perfectly accurate... 

 

Due to recent discoveries, I've found that Smoky m2 is the bane of my existence not Thunder.

At my rank it's not really a problem, I imagine that it will soon be though...

At my rank too , i see protections too but i drug too well

Yeah man it's insane

I hear that the devs are planning to add custom protection, so maybe everyone will get modules against magnum and maybe even ease off on them thunder protections a little. :ph34r:

Yeah but they won't give you protection against Magnum if you don't already have it. They'll give you the highest protection you have for it. For example if you have two paints one of them has 10% and the other 15% against Magnum, you'll get a module that has 15%. So people still have to buy it. Thing is, a lot of people don't have protection against it which makes playing versus a Magnum really annoying ._.

But yeah, I'd really like to see less people using Thunder protection :lol: It used to be my favorite turret but I can't really use it now.

From WO1 till around Brigardier I've used thunder all the time because people barely had thunder protection but at high ranks, every single person has it (including me fully maxed out) but it is unplayable, no joy wasting shots on 45%'s.

Yeah, exactly.

To be honest it is that way for most of the fun turrets - Rail, Smoky etc.

Aah on the other hand, something had to be done.

 

Perhaps I can finally use my old Viking Thunder combo again like I did before the rebalance. A lot of people bought Thunder as their first M3. They were everywhere.

 

Thunder is extremely powerful without protection against it. It would surpass a lot of turrets on the mid field. Currently Ricochet dominates there and even those dumb Twins.

 

 

Even m4s don't do well in high ranks ?  :mellow:

Protection modules can make an M4 feel like an M0.

With Thunder, it feels like you're using Smoky but with a stupid slow reload and some tiny little critter-denting splash damage.

 

Protections against high damage per shot turrets are the most effective. Magnums, Railers and Shafts are nothing against 50%

 

It would be a good move to enable nitro and run away from those guys. Unless you're a Thunder that is.. you'll run straight into another enemy with 30-50% protection.

Very true O_O. I am using thunder m3 (8/20) and all I can do is look for a weaker opponent. Even hornet m2s are roaming free with DA+protection module from thunder. Unless there is someone who wrecks the battle with another turret,making people change their modules, as a thunder user, suffering is still inevitable :(

I think thunder is fine in up to major general , I can still easily dominate in battles

 

I only suffer when I play against marshals and above (and sometimes I still dominate anyway)

Even with protections around

We can do well in maps where enimies come in groups , especially in ASL blue base

I think the problem is that protections protect you way too much. Cutting someone's damage in half is like an always active double armor + the fact that you can also use double armor. I'd like to see the protection cap being lowered to say like 35%.

Hello everybody. I apologize for my bad english. I want to invite players who play well with thunder or a striker to play in a strange format game. Tomorrow evening we want to play a map  Station.

Turrets: thunder m3 or striker m3.

Hulls:  wasp m3 or  hornet m3.

Format: CTF

Play time: 35 minutes. The first 5 minutes we are gathering but do not play. At 30.00 we push “del” and then start.

Ranks: Brigadier - Legend

Bonus boxes: on

Supplies: off

Gold: off

Upgrades: off

Alterations: on

Overdrives: off

Auto balance: on

Weapon changes: on (only thunder / striker, wasp / hornet)

modules: zero

The exact time when the game is planned I'll write tonight. Approximately between 18.00 and 22.00 Moscow time on June 16, 2018. And tomorrow I'll write a link to the battle.

And an obligatory condition: we play without cheats.

We will be glad to see you.
