...just coming frim a fight where one Thunder kicked my bottom pretty bad... :-(

My pride still hurts a bit ...

But he got me thinking about forgetting Twins, and getting Thunder when I (eventually...) reach WO4

Well, there is still time to make that decision.

I've been in that situation before. Just try different maps,he probably had an advantage in that one.

I play Hunter + Thunder and I find that this combination is good for support. Hunter ensures that I won't fall too far behind my ally Hornets, and not too far ahead of my ally Vikings, so I will usually have allies around.

Thunder is useful for catching your buddies' backs if you follow them into in the middle of battle. I like to use this tactic with ally railguns, ricochets, and other thunders because they have similar firing patterns, and this teamwork creates a more dynamic gameplay for me.

I used to play Smoky before the ranking update. I find it annoying to face Smoky in battle now because of their massive knockback.

That's just the way I Smoke(smoke=using smoky)  :lol: but I definitely agree with you.

Smoky will always be something. Its the people who are nothing anymore. Ok, Smoky isn't good long-range, after the RB, well then be the bigger man and use it in short-range maps! So what if the critical decreased dramatically. You shouldn't have ever used/liked it for its crits. Step up and learn to use it properly WITHOUT crits. Hmm, it seems you haven given up on this turret.

Smoky does only decent hits , but the criticals made that decent damage good. Now a critical takes less then half of my health with Hunter.

Yeah , Hunter Thunder is a very good combo :)

Hunter is pretty fast , and it has good protection.

Thunder is also good , and you can attack multiple tanks with it

 

Still takes 3 shots to kill a Hornet! :angry: Am disappointed.

is about balancing turrets -.-

the close ranged weapons needs to be OP because they reach an enemy harder while long ranged can attack from distance...
