who cares about stability when you can tilt so much (it helps you hit targets so much higher than you)

Actually stability matters, at least to me because there are differences between viking and hunter or viking with hornet, since hornet has its controls changed so did controls with railgun or thunder attached to hornet.

Then go and try hit a person on above in year 2042 or some map like that Using Viking And Hunter you will see Hunter is easy to use

I actually tried both combinations (thunder-Viking (M1 in my alt)) and (thunder-dictator(M2-M3 here)) and I found dictator much , much better , I never said it's not stable but it is not as stable as Viking , trust me if you get used to it it's so good

Yeah you might be right. Since I barely play with hornet and I've tried hornet + thunder combination, it felt really different since the update of controls on hornet.

Using that combo in non parkour battles is like putting a damn pistol barrel first into your ear, and pulling the trigger when it's loaded. Yes, I'm saying that it's suicide.

 

Every time I see anyone with this combo in any battles other than parkour, first thing that comes to mind is that they forgot their brains back in the real world. If they actually chose to use that combo, I make them regret it, in which case I've never failed to rest them.

the first time I've tried it is yesterday in my alt , yes the splash literally takes out half of your HP , but somehow i managed to get to the top 3 spots of the leaderboard easily . It's not such a stupid combo afterall

probably , I don't like light hulls , especially wasp because they flip a lot , maybe if I tried them my opinion of them would be different

many people choose speed over HP (light hulls over heavy ones), that's why thunder users thrive in all maps, all light hulls who don't have protection can be killed with 1 shot (when using DD), and if they're stacked together , each shot can give you 30-40 points , that's just massive isn't it ?

It's a nice turrent to play with but once the opponent has 45-50% protection against thunder, feels like it will be waste of time shooting at him.

Yeah that's why I didn't bother upgrading thunder anymore, just left it was 5/20. Literally every single person with thunder protection.

I use my thunder protection to reduce my own self damage. The protection against other thunder shots happens to be a bonus for me.

I never got it because smoky was one of my first M3s. It hurts when I'm not wearing emerald, but I'm guessing lots of people use thunder protection as it was in most of the original modules?

According to pauliusdaone thunder is the best turret... but yeah it's probably worth it.

I think M4 thunder could dominate, sure. Either way, not all players wear thunder protection so M4 would destroy them, especially with DD.

it's simply one of the strongest weapon in M4 modification and of course must be in a right skilled hands, IMO.

I've got M4 XT Thunder and it's doing just fine but unfortunately it's been overshadowed lately by Striker, i know many of you will disagree but Striker is basically an enhanced Thunder but with slower projectiles. Though i don't even have striker but that turret is exceptionally lethal in the right hands.

Definitely agree. Striker has less reload time and almost does same damage as thunder with both activated DD. Striker is lethal in battles if anyone knows how to use it, sometimes you don't need no laser to destroy the enemy, fire 2 rockets with DD activated and job done. Whilst thunder would take at least 3-5 shots to destroy the enemy with DD also.

not to mention striker damage is  less random and damage doesn't decrease over range..

Honestly so OP, especially in low ranks. In my opinion best Turret in the game.
