MUed M3 Thunder put on test. (2 first stages of dmg and 4 first stages of reload time done). Below are the results.

Yeah I do; for Freeze... but Rustle isn't the best option for that.

Yup, Rustle won't prevent freeze to destroy light to medium tanks,  and freeze m3 can destroy mammoth m2 with one load.

Except when using rustle with mammoth m2 and titan m3, then this paint can prevent damaging the tank by one freeze's load.

The best thing is to ranaway from freeze and shoot them from a distance, you don't need anti freeze with light tanks, its useless.

Thanks, yeah I was sort of aware of this; once Freeze gets you, you're dead.

There's no protection paint to stop them from killing you, unless you're a heavy hull.

Are you referring to a Freeze protective paint?

If so;

 

I don't think lighter hulls need a Freeze protective paint.

The best thing to do with those, is like Adam perfectly discribed; running away.

This works for me... The freeze effect is pretty strong. :unsure:

You won't survive when they have you in range, with or without protection paint.

 

I bought Rustle long ago, when I were still using Mammoth.

M3 Freeze couldn't destroy me in one go, so I still had a (small) chance.

 

I'm never using Mammoth anymore though, but Wasp and Viking.

Viking is what makes me still use Rustle, there's aswell (a pretty nice) Thunder protection.

 

So if you're using light hulls; probably focus on upgrading those, or buy Dictator in your case.

If you've a heavy hull then Inferno; which is in that paint kit, is pretty nice; but you shouldn't buy the paint kit just for this single paint.

 

Husto is the real guy to talk to about this, but he's away for a while.

I think significant changes were noticed more with rails and smoky's critical hits rather than thunder.

trust me,a fully MU thunder at damage shows its power only from close,destroying hornet m3 with 2 shoots and deals 72-98 hp per shoot :wub:

well,kinda sad that those values are only for like 100 m,over 100 m,under 72hp :(

thunder always was good,but it seems that the percentage of players who are wearing anti-thunder is still high :(

Thunder looks so powerful in terms of damage, but:

 

<10 metres = 100%

>100 metres (your current max distance) = 20%

 

This means Thunder quickly loses effectiveness over range.

So it's definitely not a long-range weapon, more of a close/mid-range.

This is why I use it on medium hulls.

It belongs in medium sized maps.

Yeah, I never use it on big maps... Recently, at least at my rank, there has been pretty much only wasps and hornets so I can just go to town on Silence. Very few Thunder protection paints around too.

I hope that wasn't directed at me because if you want to bring out the insults, we can. You've made it clear that you don't like it when I "insult" you.

You should've used your common sense. Since the start of December, everyone has been discussing the quality of the NY discount. You're an active forumer so you've taken part in some. Therefore, regardless of when you bought it, you still knew there was going to be a discount, you just didn't know that it was 50%. Even 30% (which it was last year) is worth waiting for.

Once again, you did know there was going to be a discount, just not by how much. However, I still agree it was silly of him to buy those M2s at full price when a sale is imminent.
