I am still thinking about the dictator kit. What do you think about railgun on dictator?

it was one of the most popular combos in NS battles before rebalance, now it isn't so used.

You forgot Dictator. And yep. Hornet can get shot in the front, or at its tail very easily. I can time when a Hornet/Railgun is going to expose itself. And when it does, guess what? If they do come out, they get shot by me and miss. If they don't come out, they shoot a wall.

Honestly, that happens to me 0,5% of times. We were just talking in general about medium/heavy/railgun combo. You cant use specific situtations to argument that this combo is good in general.

Yes railgun requires the hit and run and it is obvious that you need speed for it to be executed the best it can be.

Theoretically, yes, wasp is a better hull for railgun than hornet but in reality i find them equally good.

the point was that with a mammoth you need a dps weapon (damage per second),high damage output to always deal as much damage as you can combined with high hp.

In reality experienced players buy mammoth m3 only for one reason,to stand toe to toe in a high ranked drug battle.See how many of them use raigun. It isnt very fun and effective to discharge one shot

(which does nothing) and then wait to get stomped. At least you dont have to wait long :)

Come on, use your hull too. Your hull can also act as a weapon, not just the turret. So what if your shot is discharged. See them running up the hill? Crash into them when they come up and they're flipped. Other ways too. Don't just wait for your shot to recharge unless the distance between you two are considerable.

Atleast dictator can get golds easy! xD

Yep, The height does give you an advantage.

A little tip on how to hit your target with rail when it's really far away: place your eye focus in the area between your turret and the target thus giving your eyes a full view of your turret, the target, and the space between both making it easier to position your rail aiming perfectly straight at it (I usually do this "smart move" in the couple seconds I get between my rail being already activated and before it fires). It never fails to work for me :)

OK this is my last try.

That wasnt an argument that proves that the railgun mammoth combo is effective.

Same thing (using your hull) can be achieved with any combo in the game.On the other side weaknesses of railgun on a heavy hull are obvious. That weapon just wasnt designed for brute up in front battles or exposed camping tactics.

Mammoth is used for : brute up in front battles and exposed camping (shaft).

you forgot bout me  ;)

abusufian777 is the one who taught me the "spin" trick for timing your shots. I referred to this in post  #494    If you see him on the battle field watch and learn, he is pro

guys what shall i get thunder m1 or railgun m1 to go with my viking m1. can't make a decision . help

Well...they told you Thunder in the "lets discuss Thunder" thread. They will tell you to get rail in this thread. @ M1 I would get Thunder the power diff is greater than rail. I like Rail also depends on your style. Rail you need to be more precision and accurate with thunder you just need to be close

no... im not a pro yet ;) i merely have taught you some tricks bout railgun. even someone like me is not perfect in using it, or yet... :D let's hope you will surpass both me and fatal one day :D

and heres some tip about railgun, if you truly want love rail, you should perfect your timing, try to predict other peoples timing, imagine their yellow bar in your head, ALWAYS hit their corner, dont be a camper all the time, you will just lose respect of others, in a game D/L is not about everything, always move your turret and hull at the same time, and  yes, i do agree that you need to hide sometimes like against smoky or thunder, maybe twins, but i completely disagree that you should camp all the time. and railgunners needs to be more tactical, each of their shoots deals a lot of damage, so only shoot the enemies that you think you will cause harm to your team, not the one that will ruin your D/L. Always observe your surrounding :P Once you miss one shot, and one of you flag was taken away just because you missed that shot, you would feel really sad, so in order to prevent from missing any shot, press E which will lower your camera view giving you a more accurate view to shoot your enemies down. of course once you get used to it, you will be able to do it anytime, it will feel natural, even without changing the camera view.

Hope it helps :D
