I don't find Rail to be the best in maps with barely any walls.

But my DLs with Rail, on average, are over 2.

i use wasp for NS battles and heavy hull in DM,but still i play more in DM

I own at wasp and Railgun As a combo

 

U only flip literally once every 30 shots and yu only flip when ur hit exactly after yu shoot the railgun.

Is it better to be a 'mosquito', which is a wasp and railgun or a sniper, like a mammoth?

Mosquito takes skill to use. I've seen more and more Mosquitos arise, and majority of them truly suck. They don't know how to hold a Railgun steady, and one shot from my Smoky makes them miss. Made one guy miss 2-3 times until he got smart and hid. -.-

 

If you are going to be a Mosquito, be aware of your surroundings and sum of different strategies and tactics. Use your camera! Be aware of where your enemies are at. Time your

 

Mammoth/Railgun a sniper? Maybe. That is if you can get in the right spot. Since Mammoth is so darn slow.

 

In my opinion, Mammoth charges in and shoots whoever is about to die. :D Since the mass is so enormous that getting hit from enemies would feel like nothing. AND your high HP mass will let you stick around long enough for at least 1 kill. At LEAST!

 

Especially if you have a good paint.

 

Remember, time your shots well.

I use my prodigi paint and it's very useful in games. I bang my prodigi with the wasp and rail m2 and I'm awesome at it I ain't a noob with a mosquito.

 

I think u can call wasp and isida a humming bird because humming bird flaps wings very fast and isida has the sort of effect when u press space bar ;)

thanks that really helped. i decided to go wth mosquito earlier today and it was way better. i earned double the points i usually would get

I used to think m1 and m2 is not that different so I kept with m1 for ages and expected to get it to m3 when I thought it would be the best time. Once I bought m2 for full price, I realised that this thing was quite handy and it could defeat m2 Viking in 2 shots whereas m1 definately took 3 shots

M1 rail can kill an M2 viking (220 hp) with 2 shots (each shot kills max 120 hp) unless it's using rail protective paint. I've done it before and my rail is M1. It can even almost kill an M3 viking (242 hp) with 2 shots (leaving only 2 hp left) as long as it has no protective paint.

Yes, but smoky doesn't crit every single shot. Rail (at M3) can hit at almost the same strength as a m2 smoky crit. every time. If rail is used right, the tracer wouldn't be much of a factor. If i shot you at a cross map shot, say from the right side of Kunger at you on the left side. You could go to where you think I was, and I'm not there, because rails have to move a lot even while camping. 

 

 If u use cross map shots, you get the laser effect AKA the Sniper effect. Which would have an negative tracer effect, and then that could buy you some vital time. If someone gets hit head on with rail and if they cant see the railgunner, Their first instinct is to look behind them. And that can be a slow procsess, and then that will buy you some time to reload.

OOOOH OOOH Me too. It is absolutly my fav turret. It is the most powerful single shot. And thats what i like about it; One Shot One Kill, unlike other guns (Excluding Shaft) One HUNDRED Shots FINALLY One Kill

From M1 onwards, the recharge doesn't feel as long - rather than 8 seconds, it feels like 5 or so seconds. That's me though, because if it genuinely were to get that substantially shorter, it'd be OP.

There are differences between the ammunition of the Railgun and the Shaft :

- The Railgun shoots a straight laser line : Less damage than the Shaft , more penetration ( can pass through many tanks in one shot )

- The Shaft shoots an automatic Blast fire : More damage than the Railgun , less penetration ( cannot pass through many hulls )

My think is that the Railgun is more mobile to most players and that's why most players using the Railgun , The Shaft instead requires more concentration , patience and a place to keep a low profile from hostile treats . So we can say that the shaft has the highest damage in all of the game but still more boring because of waiting to shoot the enemy so it'll be the 2st turret and the Railgun will be the 1st because the turret is mobile and can be used to destroy enemy tanks while on the move , so those are my thoughts .

the shaft is the king of penetration dude!

you can kill several tanks in a shoot,which railgun doesnt(max 2 if you are lucky)
