After micro upgrades, rail's stats have gone up.. Basically all of shaft's stats have gone down... Which still makes it a kill-stealing enemy against the railgun. You are 4 ranks away from m2 smokey , which is good from that rank to marshal, where m3 smokey is unlocked. I would get thunder m2 than rail m2, but if u don't rank in time, get rail.

I won't rank in time for sure (I just ranked to first lieutenant). However, I think I will just wait and save for a better weapon (m1 rail should be usable for a while longer, I guess). I might get m2 hornet, might get m2 isida, or just wait it out and go for the exp and get wasp, smoky, viking, flame and tundra and be set for life.

I always use Railgun, its my favorite gun for sniping. Best combo for me is Viking+Railgun!

I like starting my shot then popping out of a hiding place to shoot then I hide again.

 

Wouldn't wasp be a better hull for this because the turret is located in the very back?

Depends, but good thinking. Hornet or Viking is generally more effective though because Wasps usually get 1-shotted by the same level Railgun, but Wasp is still very fast so there is less risk of getting hit. So it really depends on what you can afford.

This was a big problem before they changed the physics but wasp seems more stable now
