Any suggestions on how to counter a rail gun? Which is the most annoying turret for veteran railgunners?

Probably Smoky, but Hammer's an option too. Smoky can deliver a lot of impact force in one shot, so aim at the corner of a Railgunner and fire while he/she's charging. They'll usually miss. With Hammer, you don't have to be as precise; just fire in the general direction of their side, but note that you have to get closer to them to do this.

Shaft Smoky Railgun Ricochet i can say.

 

With shaft you can kill its light hull while they don't see you. You can use arcede shots for dominating and you can turn opponent's hull well while in scope. However, generally railgun can beat shaft quickly in 1 vs 1 if you are not a good shafter.

 

Smoky can knock railgun quickly and get more damage in max damage range, and you can shot quickly while it shooting. But you should attack sneakly.

 

You can fight railgun with a railgun if you are better.

 

Ricochet's situation is like smoky, but there are lots of differences about these guns.

i've almost never been able to drive a railgun's aim off with ricochet m2,but it's also true the hurry in making them miss makes me miss quite often  :lol:

Thanks all I have smoky m1 (I love it;) ) and I tried to do that on Monte Carlo. There were so many railguns and they started getting mad cause they would always miss :) thanks for the tip:)

Once i tried using smoky m1 on monte carlo. It was FRUSTRATING. The enemy team kept on shooting me with railguns and I kept on flipping. I had the flag once and they shot me over the side. I love the impact. :)

Rail has flown up to my top 3 now after the annoyance it can cause (it's flip ability)!

Dictator-Railgun is my favorite flipping combo. No light hull is safe, especially at close range. All I have to do is tilt my tank so it fires slightly more upwards than normal, and bam, you can flip your enemies like fried eggs. I like to do a victory donut around them if there's nothing else do do.

it's fun to use and yes it worth the crystalls :)

 

but the railgun need the skills to use it in XP/BP or even in normal format

ex: a smokey vs railgun ( any hull ), if u can't controle ur railgun, ur going miss for sure.

but if u have skills, u will not miss ;)

I'm mad at tanki for the rail gun its well i hate to say it but it needs an even longer reload time and it should not be able to kill m0 wasp at railgun m1 its to op i don't know why tanki can not see that that's why everyone uses it

Its not op... if you look at the 'Lets Discuss X(whatever turret)' there are always several people claiming that the turret is op, in every single one. If so, every turret is op. 

I think railgun requires the most skill of any other turret. And it can kill m0 wasps at Railgun m1, just occasionally it doesn't, hacking!.    It doesn't need an even longer reload, otherwise it would be a shaft with less damage and no scope.

I think m0 rail can already 1hit m0 wasps though. In my alt account WO 1, my rail m0 can 1 hit m0 hornet most of the time. :)

No, because I wouldn't let him shoot me in the corner. At least until I shoot.

What hull you use? If you use hornet you'll have to stick half the tank out to shoot. And that gives the smoky plenty of time to shoot in the corner. And then you miss. And die. :))
