M2 Rail is not much of an upgrade anymore with the recent update of Railgun's parameter (Impact Force).

M3 Rail is a better upgrade due to the rank gap. It gets even better with a few MUs, so I am sure you will identify the differences (:

Wasp turret position can be a disadvantage sometimes.

If going in a Mosquito position, your back is more vulnerable, but with Hornet it's not even an option

BP is theoretically more effective than XP, yet like 5 people use it. If only Trom was here.

ok I have used m3 BP for one year straight now. Let me break it to you, wasp and hornet have their own advantages and disadvantages.

Advantages of wasp

1) Fastest hull in the game.

2) Highest turning rate.

Disadvantages of wasp

1) Extremely light, meaning that you can easily get flipped.

2) Needs long term experience to master (I.e hardest hull to master in tanki IMO).

3) In most cases at starladder BP is only given the protection from Smokey ( with better paints like savanna and prodigi used on medium hulls or hornets). This makes wasp 1 shot in a considerable number of instances. (Although adding a mere 8% from dirty if it doesn't breach the 100% would mean you are always 2 shots from rail).

4) Can't out power /block other hulls.

Yes there are certain advantages ( and yes there was a one starladder match in season 2 where arcade used 5 wasps in one round) in using wasp but that doesn't make theoretically "more" effective as you mentioned. Using wasp comes with it own disadvantages. It s always better to keep the diversity intact.....

P.s

No offense for XP players but nothing can match the thrilling exhilarating you feel when you have the flag with a wasp on nitros ;) :D

I am in love with rail-gun mostly because its a turret that has optimistic aiming, which has to have a host that can fight and think, and this gun is not just an ordinary just like others are for me, but this turret sparks a light in my brain... which makes me want to focus to become the best and not miss and be skilled like every one but really the gun is in need for a host and with out the host rail-gun is nothing!!!

i find it is very bad at close ranges if you are attacking a more heavy tanked person. But for big maps, railgun HANDS DOWN!!

Well, I guess that depends on the level of cover in the smaller maps. Where there's a wall, you're 56% likely to find Railguns.

Rail is awesome my favorite weapon i have a question regarding it though .. i play half of my time in tanki xp battles, second half different battles formats using rail in almost 70% of them i mu'd damage and penetration power to the max(rail m3) I didn't mu the rest since i was afraid i would notice difference between xp battles and normal battles having to learn using 2 different turrets .. am i correct in this assumption ? and what is the solution if i want to full mu rail and don't wan't to learn using 2 different turrets?

Vikingsrall have u abandoned ur own topic ?
