I'm playing with Railgun since I was Gefreiter rank.

 

I found it very effective turret, the reload is its minus but if you upgraded it a little bit which is stronger than your current rank, it would be good. Best hulls with Railgun at my opinion are Wasp and Hornet.

 

Will play with it until my last rank and career! :wub:

No, it actually reloads more slowly. The time listed for M1 Shaft (3.75 seconds) is the time for half of the ammo bar to refil, or the energy for 1 arcade shot. If you want to do full damage, you have to enter scope mode and consume the entire ammo bar, which means that the actual reload between full power shots is 7.5 seconds. Slower than M2 Railgun. Oh, and let's not forget that it takes ~2.8ish seconds for your shot in scope mode to charge up. So the overall reload for maximum power shots is about 10 seconds, compared to 6.55 seconds for M2 Railgun. Not very fast, huh?

 

I like Shaft a lot, but you should be realistic about its capabilities. It is not superior to Railgun. They're both equally good when used correctly.

Yup i agree , but there is an important role of railgun in Star Lander battle. For me watching the match is a great entertainment. Maybe I will decide creating a club for people who love to play those type of match

Hmm... I would probably agree with you on the point of paints, but, just a question, have you ever tried using Railgun yourself? Or do you just happen to face those who have mastered the art of Railgun battles, because, with the right abilities, you can effectively trump the battlefield, as long as the teams are fair, or at most somewhat slanted.

Skip it, better wait till M3 or get it M2 and only use it for XP/BP (no micro-upgrades needed)

Actually, Railgun is not just an awesome gun. If you know how to use it, it is more than just awesome. Plus, the XP/BP battles are also great! View my profile. When I bought Railgun, my profile said that I had played with it for 20 hours, and scored 2k experience. That made me angry. But, after playing a few XP/BP battles (Mostly Polygon CP XP/BP and Courage CTF XP/BP), I have scored alot of exp! Now with Railgun, the number of hours i've played is 54 hours, and scored 52.6k exp. See? Get XP/BP equipment if you haven't, buy the PRO Pass, and show everybody that they're not the only ones out there!

Titan-Railgun is an effective combo if you enjoy the usual "Peek-a-boo" tactics coupled with being able to take a few more hits.

Mammoth-Railgun is a target.

True, but i don't have an XP paint because i might buy the legend kit soon and the XP (for m2) paint would be useless

my railgun is fully MUed 

that was my stats for railgun m2,before update 4/5 of steps was fully micro upgraded, almost 95% total,but now after getting m3 for free its 10

I'm over the "if you know how to use it" line.

 

How about some constructive advice for the rest of us Rail noobs.
