Worthless against legends. They all have 46%+ protections from rail.

Sadly true. The only weapon I can really use is Smoky, since I don't pay up for anything and I don't spend much of my time trying to get crystals.

One reason is that it's slow...hard to peek-a-boo with the titan..unlike wasp/hornet. Also hard to grab supplies or flag...unless you are drugging it would be a hard combo to dominate with...rate of fire is so slow.

Maybe its because Im still on lower level, but I dont have that much problems with slowness. I think I have a good understanding at what Titan can do, and use it at its best. Now capturing flag is definitely not something its good at, and that is why I dont use it on CF maps. :)

If the team needs them to perform well and they are trying those fancy trickshots (and most of the times they miss) I just asume they are mults or maybe even worse...

Smoky and Thunder are difficult match ups for a Rail (even paired with Viking) especially if the environment doesn't provide any cover

Exactly! Trickshots are for youtube videos. We need our fellow Railers as productive people. Killing the neccesary targets instead of the hardest ones. The most boring kills, for example people right infront of you,- can make the difference in the enemy capturing a flag, or CP point. The enemy will exploit these mistakes. I sure did... Every miss buys more time to capture flags, dealing damage or escaping for whatever reason.

Well the key of getting Special paints like : Gladiator,Star,Acid,Champions,Silve,Bronze,Impulse is being a master in Xp/Bp

So for me Railgun is the best gun in the game for this reason :)

Tried base Rail M4, and it's like a peashooter, but I tried renting the alt and pop a double power suddenly I'm one shotting everyone. Newfound respect for this weapon. Still too many protections though. One battle I went to had 75% of the players with 25%+ Rail prot lel.

I'm getting it during this sale with the alteration and 11/20 microupgrades. My playing style has always been to charge the enemy base and steal the flag, so this is going to change entirely how I play the game.

This is my alt account. I have used rail with the m2 alteration on my general account for like 300 hours against high ranked players, they all have serious (40%+) protection.

I see what you're saying as I noticed almost everyone in battle has railgun protection, but it hasn't stopped me getting a lopsided D/L. My KD will probably rise again after getting railgun and I'm not even trying. It's a cowards weapon for sure, but effective at getting lots of kills.

Nah, absolute waste of 50k.

You're better of sinking those 50k crystals in MUs if they are enabled in your battle.

 

Rail + high calibre is great for K/D, but unfortunately, I noticed after a while, I couldn't really take my team to victory unless I had Double Damage equipped for the whole game.

 

Its still handy now, because you can dish out some serious damage to the coward isida hiding behind the enemy titan and healing him.

^ or get the high caliber ammo alteration, then start MUing your railgun.
