What is better - Railgun m3 or Smoky m3?

I'm thinking of getting the legend or paladin kit :o

The better term is too broad, they both serve different purposes it's not like either of them replaces the other.

But you propably mean good as in effective in bigger range of battles. If you do xp/bp rail m3 is a musthave it also works better in long range support for defence and a flag returner/camper, but smoky is versitile, works on any hull and overall covers a wider range of dutys in the battlefield. Rail is usually not a wise choise, since your team likely has it already, and you will be of more use covering up the holes all over your team with smoky, since teams on normal battles tend to be broken, and stupidly laid over.

For DMs it's all about getting in the right positions and shooting the right people, both guns can succeed with enough tactical thinking, allthoug smokys fast rate of fire most certainly brings more potential.

Enough jibber jabber, get paladin, you already have hornet, viking m3 will be very useful later. Viking/inferno will also be much more effective with your freeze and fire than hornet and prodigi. Smoky also works on your mamoth better than rail... this is a nobrainer if you are looking for the maximum effectiveness in a wide range of battles. Only get rail if you will mostly do xp/bp, if not, get paladin. ^_^

I think you're better off with Paladin kit. Smoky's very powerful and versatile especially in DM and CP with high damage per minute.

Legend kit if you wanna rock out with Hornet-Railgun in long range maps, be excellent supporting fire in CTFs or play XP battles.

Due to instability and crashing if the first server, XP/BP enthusiasts suggest that format battles be moved to RU23 server to reduce lags for better gameplay.

Please try to create open battles on RU23 and post links on RU1 to attract players into the new location. Tell your friends and spread the message in server/battle chats.

Is there a way to Maximise the shot, cos sometimes it takes two shots for kill and sometimes three

From what I know, it's based on the length the shot is.

It loses it's damage over range, but you don't notice it on maps like Brest where the minimum and maximum ranges cover the area like shadows and light.

Um... No! Railgun is some of the few turrets that do not lose damage over range. For now, we really don't know how Railgun does damage. Many say it does damage randomly, but some believe it is what portion of the tank you hit. They say the maximum damage when shot on the middle of the side. Many analyses have been done on this topic in case you have doubt. Have fun using Railgun!  :)

Railgun - a weapon used for camping 80-90% of the time -_-

Nah, mostly it's used for assault and attack from what I see in my day-to-day career.

And no matter how many times you die because you ran into a close-range fight with your long-range weapon, it's lag's fault and the enemy team is comprised of hackers.

Eh.. don't worry, you'll see a LOT of campers at around my rank (or close to it) if you start playing XP/BP battles ._.
