Railgun is very powerful with good and professional skill.

Things to consider before buying:

-Needs great maneuverability with a hull

-Needs critical timing

-Needs good and professional skill

-Needs getting used to when using for first few times

Smoky M2 vs railgun m2 both with m2 hornet

Reason I'm only discussing about these variants is because 2 people were discussing about m2 rail. and m2 smoky. If those people are reading this hopefully this will answer both your questions. Now without further or do, let's discuss about it.

Smoky and railgun with hornet are face to face. They can't move but shoot, they can still aim. Now smoky fires the first shot railgun and fires the first shot. If smoky is lucky, with the critical shots he can beat railgun. With railgun's reload, smoky cab get 2-3 shots in. But that's if you're lucky. Otherwise, railgun might win. I cannot remember the reload times for both these weapons, but I have an idea.

You can't complain about the reload speed about railgun, because if it was shorter, it would be so over powered. Don't complain about the delay before firing, if it had no delay it would be the most op weapon of the game and with that amount of crystals for it so many people would have it. Then you have everybody ruining everything such as killing people all the time which tank I online would die out and so on.

Pros:

-Great damage

-Nice impact force

-can hit tanks at the same time.

Cons:

-long reload time

-Recoil not good for light hulls

-Delay before firing

-Slow rotation speed

-Rail stays for a second (tracer) then fades

The cons outweigh the good but with remember;

With professional skill and Critical timing and good maneuverability you can be the best.

Lissen. There are about 40% of people who are angry or jealous about railgun.

Reason:

  1. Killed by rail all the time!
  2. Some of them would say, "Man, I can't control this thing!!"
  3. Most of them get annoyed by it.
  4. Can't do skills by using it.

Some day all of them could break their computer. :P

Why do many Railgun users have egos the size of Mount Everest? I understand that it takes a "massive amount of skill" and "precision reflexes" to use but I mean, c'mon.

its good for big ranks :)its good and any mode means any m0 m1 m2 m3

Actually Railgun is weakest at the higher ranks- people know how to through you off aim and tons of railgun protection-equiped players.

Are you talking about the fact the higher ranks are more skilled with it, or that there are more xp/bp battles there?

I think that rail is one of the best turrets in the game. It does a lot of damage, it is regally fun to use with light hulls, and its complexity makes it a great weapon for experts. See, all the other turrets in the game have pros and cons, like hammer, which only allows three shots, or freeze, which only allows a small amount of juice before recharging. The shaft's damage goes down the longer it is scoped, and the Vulcan starts overheating after a little bit of shooting. The railgun has the perfect balance of pros to cons making it the most reasonable and fun weapon to use in the game. The only bad parts:

-long reload time

-the trail makes it easy to spot who shot you

-the blue "warm up" light gives away your position and that your shooting

Overall, I think that the railgun is great because it has to be mastered to be a fun turret to use, and it works at all ranges, short, medium, and long range.

My tip is that if you don't want people to see the warm up light, hide behind a wall, press space, and right before it's about to shoot, pop out of your hiding spot, and you will surprise your enemy.

Klimmer out

Should I save for rail m2, or ricochet m2? I like biggish maps, like kunger and tribute. I have 40k crystals.

Since you like big maps you should save rail M2 unless you want to buy the ricochet alteration which increases range. Moreover, if you have hornet M2 or wasp M2, rail M2 will allow you to play XP/BP (Hornet and railgun/Wasp and railgun)

Exactly the reason why I bought 35% protection module from this turret. I even MUed it to 44%. Need to get it to 50% some time.

Railgun M3 + both M2 alterations half off = M5 Railgun for only 213,125 crystals!

Can't wait until I'm Marshal!  :)

Is it of great benefit to get the shot stabilization alt., when the high caliber ammo alt. is already really good and you are not being able to equip 2 alts. of the same M level at the same time? I think if I'd focus on rail, I would get high caliber ammo alt. and maybe if I need flexibility the M1 alt.

I hate to say such things, but I'm tired of seeing Railgun-Hornet.

Sure a pro uses it, but that doesn't mean YOU can do it to the same capacity.

Reasons why I'm sick and tired of this combo:

1. It's overdone. Don't be like E-sporters, be unique.

2. The people who use it consider themselves superior to christ himself. You are not, you are an annoying fanboy who puts trekkies to shame. (No offence.)

3. They're daredevils who wouldn't know fighting if it bit em' in the rear transmission. They hide behind corners in your base firing a shot then spinning around like a unintellligent person., they DARE you to attack them and their mined fortress of a building.

Okay, this is going to shock you: Maybe the E-sports players use OTHER combos.

I mean this IS a game where you make your OWN tank and use it to have fun.

In my opinion, using Railgun-Hornet is like playing Galaxian: It's skill-based don't get me wrong. But isn't there that new game "Galaga" that has all the new features?

My point here is using Railgun-Hornet is about as interesting as eating your own snot. Everyone can do it, some better, some worse.

Regards~ The- Amazing Hypocritcal Sarcastic -Operator

Ur point of view- It still rocks for me, it will never cease to do so.

Nd rail users don't always camp unlike those shaft users

No it's much better to get High Calliber Ammo and the rotation speed alteration. Shell Stabilization is bad compared to the other two.

As a smoky/titan I love deflecting those band-wagoners who use hornet/rail ;)  Still, I'd say that everyone at some point just wants to equip their rail and just have some fun using it (including myself).  One thing is for sure though: the higher up you go in the ranks, the more skill you need to handle railgun with success.

Tanki appears to cycle through phases whereby one turret is much stronger than the rest. For a long time it was isida and it would dominate all battles. Then it was hammer. Right now railgun is the strongest turret without a shadow of a doubt. It can destroy my viking M3 (25 steps out of 50) in one shot, from the other side of the map. This ability makes it a nightmare to play against in my favourite maps like Kungur, and it even has the upper hand in smaller maps due to it's high damage. I think it might be time to make the switch.

A railgun even with the high caliber alteration cannot one shot a m3 viking unless on DD. Shaft is the only turret that can do that without a DD.

What hull do you use? Mammoth? Although once a Railgun M2 did miss my Mammoth M2 when it was just 10 meters away. . . .

Lol...

Oh I do know how to make rails miss. Though with Thunder it's a tad bit harder than Smoky. And it doesn't help when they're ramming you. Lol.
