It still amazes me that railgun M4 can destroy my tank in one shot. I had double armour equipped (on viking M3.5) and they had double damage.

 

I wonder if it can destroy a viking M4...?

Railgun M4 can never one shot M3 viking with DA in case that is what you meant. Also Raigun M4 is quite powerful and yes, it can 1-shot M4 Viking without a DA, it is that powerful. But if you have a protection against it than it will leave you like 2-10% of course depending on how much the protection you have against it, is.

Yesterday, it took me two shots with railgun WITH DOUBLE DAMAGE to kill a Hornet. What the hell?! PS Hornet wasn't even on Double Armor and I admit that I didn't hit it in the middle.

Could be that the hornet had micro upgrades and or protection from railgun

I know, I did the calculations myself but this really happened yesterday on a kungur CTF battle. I got one shot by an M4 rail, even though I had DA.

Well... how was your health, full health? If so than there is no way Rail can one-shot you so I'm curious to know how much health you had before that Rail shot you?

I pressed V button. No micro upgrades and no protection.(This was on alternative account. The guy I shot was a corporal. Railgun protection isn't even unlocked there)

your railgun may have shot your opponent with minimum damage. Railgun minimum damage is 390. when double damage is activated, Railgun minimum damage is 780 which is less than hornet health of 1000. By the way, unless you have the M2 shell stabilization alteration enabled, Railgun will always do random damage towards the enemy which usually deviates from the average damage which is 600 for M0 by a small to moderate range. However,if you are lucky (or unlucky), you will do damage that is nearer to the max or min damage.

Well the hornet probably had more health than that, leaving him with just a sliver of health left for him

Could be because they are amazing at timing the repair kit. Right when they were about to get shot they used the RK and survived the first shot then when the second shot came around they failed or RK cool down did not finish

No, he was completely still. Didn't even move when I shot him.

Also I did not talk about him moving his tank, just activating his Repair Kit. ;)

If you want to actually stand a chance in normal battles, i suggest getting the High Caliber alt.

Only high calibre is needed with rail, the rest are not good.

I dont see many people putting railgun on a titan, but its my favorite combo.

Not sure if its just me, but Im almost always dominating.

I think its a good combo, but you won't be getting a lot of flags for your team.

I used mammoth rail for a while, but viking rail suited me better - you can get to the supply drops quickly - that helps.

Plus you can quickly move away if an enemy has both DA and DD activated.

One reason is that it's slow...hard to peek-a-boo with the titan..unlike wasp/hornet. Also hard to grab supplies or flag...unless you are drugging it would be a hard combo to dominate with...rate of fire is so slow.

The amount of people who have Prodigi, Clay and Picasso (LGC Modules) is ridiculous. Tbh I use Rail only for XP/BP and DMs in small to medium maps. In larger maps I've seen even 10 players out of 12 having protection against Rail and most of them had 30+...
