Just microupgrade it, buy the alteration (in a 50% sale) and get some double damage supplies...

Railgun isn't the only weapon that has been weakened. Smoky is a shadow of it's former self!

I don't really understand the niche Railgun falls under anymore. It used to be a long-ranged turret that, unlike Shaft, fired FAST and had no range dropoff and could be used easier in a pinch. Now it's slightly weaker than Shaft, fires quicker, but has infinite range and deals inconsistent damage.

Instantly meaning it didn't need to charge up to deal damage. With Shaft the shot has to be charged.

Railgun as we know today requires the laser beam to power up before it shoots. As far as I know it had always been this way but I could be wrong.

Shaft needs to charge up indeed but when it's done you're free to fire instantly whenever you want.

Now Railgun is a litte weak because i have double damage and when i shoot a player it deals 940 damage(M0)

Yup, that was the point of the alteration thing.  It seems to be successful at least in this regard.

Railgun doesn't need a buff in and of itself.  The hulls it's mounted on need a bit of a stability buff.  The railgun/hornet player will often miss over 50% of his shots because a skilled smoky/rico user knocks him haywire.

The other problem is the tendency of players to gravitate towards small maps.  I've always said, mindless crystal-grinding in box maps kills the game through lack of variety.  But the players don't really have another option, because large maps give too little crystals.

And we come back to Tanki's greed.  This is really the only game where if you make one purchasing mistake, you're going to be behind for a long time.

Simple; Use Titan. It's still within the realm of possibility if you like a more passive, long ranged style of play.

The best hulls to use railgun with are wasp and hunter. Hornet, viking and even titan are all incredibly unstable and get knocked around by smoky. Can't comment on mammoth or dictator as they are only M2.

Titan is pretty stable. It's only susceptible to knockback because of it's long shape, which make it easy to target a corner if you don't position yourself properly when you attack. I find the best way is backwards with your body facing your attacker, since he'll have to come farther out of cover to shoot at your sides and it gives you a window  to land a hit.
