Railgun doesn't need a buff.

 

My point was that in a practical situation i.e. a not pro battle full of drugs being gatekeeper so everyone is drugged attacking flags/goals the very expensive alt makes little or no difference in damage to the average player on 25% protection and DA. But the 50% increase in reload time does. So the expensive alt makes the turret overall worse to use.

 

In a no drugs battle there is still protection to deal with but now normal rail gan get off 3 shots in the time it takes the alt to get off 2

 

3 average shots = 2700 points or so.

 

With the alt 2 shots = 2800 points or so (all figures are roughly worked out on the back of an envelope with M2 stats)

 

But both take the same amount of time.

 

Factor in impact which is unchanged with the alt and you can do more actual game influencing damage without the alt. Shooting isn't all about killing the opponent. If I can flip a tank then no matter how much protection or armor he has then he's ineffective. Same with knocking shaft and striker off aim. I don't have to kill with one shot to get them, just keep knocking them off aim while doing damage to them. Shaft Mammoth might get a couple of arcade hits on me but they rarely get time to lock on. I use thunder against rail in the same way. Wait for the railgun to light up then hit them on the side, turning the tank sending the shot wild. It takes little timing but really upsets people when my piddley little Hornet/thunder takes out their mammoth rail cause they can't hit me.

 

So my point was that although on the face of it 40% increase in fire power for 2 seconds more reload time seems good, in practice the alt is counteracted by protection modules for damage and you have a decrease in turret effectiveness in game. 100,000 Xtals will buy a hell of a lot of DD for no penalty in reload time. And in no drugs I would rather shoot someone 3 times in an attempt to flip them or knock off their aim than twice.

 

Not to mention if you miss (which no one ever does) that gives your opponent over 12seconds to do damage to you while you can't shoot back. Firebird/wasp+drugs can do the length of massacre in less time. You can hit him as he leaves their base, you miss him half way and he flames you before you get another shot off.

 

I don't have an extensive garage in turrets to check but it seems that quite a few of these alts are trying to make the turret have the characteristics of another. Thunder alt gives armor piercing ammo no splash effect and no self damage. Faster shooting railgun? Hammer alt tightens up the shot spread making it more thunder like. Rico gets twice the range and a 100% increase in ammo speed for a reload penalty of 20% but that's on the whole clip I believe, So if you don't hold you finger on the space bar it shoots twice as fast twice as far for no penalty.

No I disagree 100% ,

He mean to buff railgun impact force ? Will if railgun could filp a wasp and horent it would be good (but not good at railgun min DMG buff )

 

So you guys agree about telling the devs to buff railgun impact force ?

 

 

Listing to me everyone I know almost all of you hate me coz of my bad explain but this all coz my weak eng , but I wish thirdonion and viking4s and other good players to take 1 decide like buffing rail min DMG to kill light hulls by 2 shots or more impact force or more aim or any other kind if benefits (buffs) so ?

 

I recommend some one (I hope thirdonion do) create new topic in game discussion and call it some thing like this (let's decide what kind of buffs rail needs , why railgyn needs a buff , or something like this ) and ppl will enter and vote in the pull

 

Thirdonion create pulls like this for ppl can vote

 

1: buff railgun min DMG

2: buff impact force

3: replace the alt with railgun

4: no luck shots

5: other , give your opnion

 

Etc

 

 

I hope brother thirdonion be helpful and kind to me as I do to him

Heck, I really must get out more cause if I total it up it's more like 500 hours on rail alone! 

 

Rail is fine as it is, lots of people play it so lots of people have protection against it I get that. Drugs and overdrive spoil it for everyone and they aren't going away any time soon so no point complaining about it. 

 

Turrets have more effect than just taking off HP which is something I think gets either forgotten or overlooked. Is there an alt on any turret that significantly increases impact force? 

 

How about an alt that took 25% damage from rail for a 50% increase in impact force? 

 

I'd like to have a few battles with that, flipping tanks and spinning wasps around like a top! Might even knock vulcan off aim for a second!

The problem with abundant protection is that it causes them to get cocky. All protection does is make me have to work harder at killing them. Or, I can shoot them twice and leave the rest for my team.

Let's calculate my hours from my accounts but before I start you need to know how is (was) my strategy in this game , I finish the game 4 times , after that I started creating accounts reaching major rank then create other one sometimes higher or lower . OK now let's calculate .

 

My old acc , 62 hours

Acc 2 : 16 hours

Acc 3 : 91

Acc 4 : 57

Acc 5 (one of the main accounts ) : 170 hours

Acc 6 : 12 hours

Acc 7 (one of the main accounts ) : 112

Accounts 10-22 are just about 6 hours per acc ,

I don't care how many hours a player has on a turret. Balanced is balanced, UP is UP, and OP is OP. Rail is a perfectly effective TO turret.

 

There are just a few Rail users who post over and over this message: "Whaaaa! Whaaaa! I want the turret I use to be overpowered! Whaaaa! Make Railgun overpowered!"

There are just a few Rail users who post over and over this message: "Whaaaa! Whaaaa! I want the turret I use to be overpowered! Whaaaa! Make Railgun overpowered!"

Conversely, I refuse to log on to my Magnum account until the nerf happens. It's just not fun to play anymore. You know you've screwed balancing up when your new turret becomes boring from how OP it is.

Railgun maded to kill light hulls by 2 shots in first it was able to kill them in 1 shot then in 2 shots no luck 100% and now 3 freaking shots this unfair unfair making railgun worse balanced , in every update its get worse ;( tanki is dead game and. Its all the noob devs ;( all is your fault to destroy tanki ;( ,

 

Railgun supposed to kill light hulls by 2 shots no luck 100% and it must be like this .

Re-old-railgun You need to unplug :D

 

Limit the lower and upper elevations and power for Magnum and make it damage all tanks in the blast area. Magnum would do what it was intended for not be the best tool for capturing flags!

Personally, I think railgun is balanced to an extent the way it is right now, considering it is one of the two only unlimited ranged weapons. That's a bonus for it to begin with, hence why I use railgun when I don't feel like playing with Ricochet or Isida, my two favourite weapons which require heavy skills on midfield, attacking, or defence (for isida), AND both are not the best in terms of range (apart from ricochet+long-range-alt). As a player who uses railgun to escape from using harder weapons like isida and ricochet, I have to say that I am quite pleased with how well it does in non-pro battles (haven't really tried much pro battles since I bought rail back in christmas). I am not a pro at railgun, but I do get average/above-average scores in my team in any battles that I stay active thoroughly.

The problem is you are the only one that thinks railgun needs a buff. Most people who use it think Its pretty good.

 

I would like to see some alts that actually make it better though. 

 

Like all of the turrets it's how you use it that counts. Unlimited  range (although the auto aim isn't unlimited) no drop off in shot power over distance and able to penetrate to hit multiple tanks. Not to mention high impact force to knock off opponents aim (even mammoth and titan) and flip smaller hulls. Thats quite a potent package, it's not all about what damage it'll cause to one tank in one shot.

 

Rico + long rage alt is my second favorite turret. Great magnum hunter when you can shoot round corners!

Railgun is so good at Serpuhov and Red Alert. I once went to Red Alert CTF at low rank with rail and at the end i was in first on my team with a score of 300 or something and i had 16 kills and i had lost 3.

Hello and welcome everyone this topic which is gonna be discuss about railgun buff.

 

 

 

 

as we know railgun WAS the most use gun in the game before the balance of 2016/10 , but after that balance finsh 

 

and even when a huge number of dislikers and players who left coz of it the devs didnt UNDO it , 

 

so here gonna discuss why railgun Really needs the buff , 

 

railgun supposed to kill light hulls by 2 shots from years but this has changed in 2016/10 , now railgun most of shots 

 

kill light hulls by 3 shots and if they has a protection even if its m0 they will be killed by 3 shots 100% no luck , 

 

so the devs and the players saying that railgun become better after the balance of 2016/10 ? killing light hulls by 3

 

shots and 2 shots using DD is improving ? no its not , did i forget something ? no i didnt forget railgun did not just get

 

a nerf in 2016/10 its get a shorter ( faster ) reload and all this happen to make the xp/bp battles faster and more fun ,

 

not bad for now its great actually ! , but there is a lot of stuff that make railgun sucks and bad very bad , like

 

lets say you play in a tournament in Esport or any other tournament , the gameplay of tournamet is xp/bp 

 

just imagine a railgun kill you by 2 shots and when you try to kill him you do it by 3 shots ? how you will feel ?

 

unfair ? get mad coz you lose the tournament ? yes this is VERY unfair railgun supposed to kill light hulls by 2 

 

shots , so ... so buffing railgun will make it fairly and not depending on luck , OHH !! look at railgun max dmg wow 

 

1205 wow its too high look at this OP gun wow , really ? in your dreams railgun will reach its max dmg its fake to 

 

make the players deceived and consider railgun a good gun but its look like this , m2 railgun max dmg is 1205 but

 

this number are fake the actual one is 1180 this is the max number i saw for my m2 railgun ( in one of my alt acc ,

 

has m2 railgun 0/10 ) , and the DMG are likely to be fall more than rise ( up ) i mean once in my m2 railgun 

 

i hit viking m2 the DMG points was 1060 and i used DD and the DMG points was 1100 so DD just increase 40

 

DMG points ? are you kidding me ? for the players who dont know why this happend , the reason is the wide range

 

between the max dmg and min dmg the dmg once fall a LOT and once Up ( not a lot ) , and i didnt forget about the 

 

penetration power i know its increased and this good , but the dmg has decreased hugle and this is not what a 

 

high dmg gun supposed to be , the devs made that balance to make the game play faster and this are good , 

 

actually there goal ( target,aim) when they nerf railgun and shorted the reload time was 90% for xp/bp coz the

 

xp/bp are the most played mode in tanki , but instead of that they made railgun depend on luck !!! luck ? in xp/bp

 

battle luck ? this are sucks , and wait did i forget something again ? oh :( i forget there is a altertion cost freaking

 

100k that re the spilted dmg in 2016/10 oh thats great ! 100k just to re spilted dmg and the gun cost 96k which 

 

result 200k and on that the alt make the railgun slower  a lot more than the old one and not as strong as the old

 

railgun , any proofs ? ok here is a proof

 

 

 

m4 railgun with out alt reload time is 4 seconds , 

 

old m4 railgun reload time was 5.5 

 

m4 railgun reload time is 4 seconds the altretion cost 100k ,+40% dmg and +50% reload

 

hmmm..... +50% reload time mean 4 seconds + 50% = 2 , this mean 4 seconds get extra seconds which mean 6

 

seconds !!! the old one was 5.5 but stronger ! 

 

 

Railgun bullet should be charge with  a high dmg not weak dmg . 

 

 

any suggestions ?

 

 

1)

 :apply this idea its easy but you dont listin to us ,

 

1: return the old railgun (before 2016/10 rebalance)

2: Replace the m2 altretion with this https://prnt.sc/hf7oj0 to return the current rail stats if someone bought it .

3: auto equip alteration for xp/bp battles that automatically change rail stats like the current stats

 

2) 

 buff railgun min dmg ( expct for m4 , and m3 BUT only in xp for m3 ) 

 

 

 

that is it give us your opinions guys and smash da like button lets make the sleepy devs see this

will say go leave us we dont need you to play our game there is thousands other you , well , this thousand keep decreasing and in the end you will be suffred for this words . instead of this less care to the players WHO play the game listin to them and do what do they want not like the balance of 2016/10 a lot of disliker and disagreer and the balance contuned progress this is the biggest proof that tanki devs are less care to us .

I don't think railgun is underpowered , today I have been 1 shot by an M3 railgun even though i have M2 dictator (3/10) and 27% protection against it , 1 shot by an M3 is extremely powerful that it took out my entire HP and I ended up destroyed within an eye blink. I'm pretty sure the railgun had DD used though .

 

 

All I'm trying to say is railgun definitely doesn't need a buff , even though i have it M1 , I can still use it against M2 hulls very effectively .

Please make the railgun predictable like other guns and give it a slower reload. It has to kill a light hull in 2 shots, medium hull in 3 shots and heavy hull in 4 shots every time.

It needs buff at m3 coz of 50% modules

well then so does thunder , right ? you don't make a valid point , this is EXACTLY the point of having a certain module.

Again you keep posting incorrect stats and somehow convince yourself that they are right. I've posted this once and I'll post it again:
 

Today I had the opportunity to look at the old Railgun stats.
 
Railgun M3 before rebalance: 1089 to 1649 damage range, 1369 average damage, 6.056 sec reload time (delay before shot included).
Railgun M3 as of today, November 2017: 704 to 1414 damage range, 1059 average damage, 4.353 sec reload time (delay before shot included).
Railgun M3 as of today, November 2017 WITH alteration: 986 to 1980 damage range, 1483 average damage, 5.980 sec reload time (delay before shot included).
 
So, Railgun's damage did NOT get nerfed by 65% (in reality it was 29%) AND the alteration actually makes Railgun better than the old version!
Also, before you tell me that "hulls have more HP now" that's not true. The only hulls that had HP increased in the 2016 rebalance were Wasp and Hunter. That's it. All other hulls had their hitpoints reduced or stayed the same.
