1. heres some tip about railgun, if you truly want love rail, you should perfect your timing, try to predict other peoples timing, imagine their yellow bar in your head, ALWAYS hit their corner,

2. dont be a camper all the time, you will just lose respect of others,

3. in a game D/L is not about everything, always move your turret and hull at the same time,

4.  yes, i do agree that you need to hide sometimes like against smoky or thunder, maybe twins, but i completely disagree that you should camp all the time.

5. railgunners needs to be more tactical, each of their shoots deals a lot of damage, so only shoot the enemies that you think you will cause harm to your team, not the one that will ruin your D/L.

6. Always observe your surrounding :P Once you miss one shot, and one of you flag was taken away just because you missed that shot, you would feel really sad, so in order to prevent from missing any shot,

7. press E which will lower your camera view giving you a more accurate view to shoot your enemies down. of course once you get used to it, you will be able to do it anytime, it will feel natural, even without changing the camera view.

Hope it helps :D

1. Yep. Try to do that every time. Predicting their shots becomes easier the more you do it.

2. I camp from place to place, know what I mean? Like a nomad. I jump to that place, camp their a while, then I jump to another place and camp their for awhile. However, sometimes I do not camp at all. I drive around really fast and shoot. Great for practicing controlling your tank's stability.  When you camp, realize the fact that enemies will get used to where you are. So they'll have better coordinated attacks against you. Dangerous, dangerous. So keep ahead of the game and think before your enemy can. The next spot I camp at usually has site on my last location. Then I can shoot those noobs who check if I'm there. However, camping is crucial at times. Like when druggers are coming at your flag. And you won't lose respect if you do extraordinarily well for your team.

3. Very true. You don't need a perfect D/L. However, I try to keep mine above 1.00. :P Always turn your turret and hull. Agreed.

4. Smoky and Thunder. Very dangerous if they know where you are. When versing a smoky/thunder, I don't recommend popping out of the same place to shoot. They'll anticipate it and make you miss. Keep your camera on them 24/7, and shoot the from another end. Like Gopher holes.  Though sometimes you can just wait them out. If you don't come out, they'll think you'll come out from the other end. When they turn their turret, then charge your shot, come out, and you'll shoot right after you come out, disabling their ability to react and turn their gun at you. Remember, it's all about the mind-games. :D

5. Very true. :D Although sometimes you should clear out weak little enemies so your teammates don't waste time  on them.  Furthermore, Railgunners heed my tip. Kill the camping Freezes! B) And when enemies are drugging, such as a wasp or hornet, take note that they're going extremely fast and unstable when on Nitro. Even if you are afar, a professional/skilled Railgunner can still shoot them on their corners, knocking them unbalanced. You can flip them over, or at least turn their hull to a certain degree.

6. Indeed. Always, always watch out for yourself. Enemies can sneak from behind due to clumsy teammates. Always be on alert. Not all enemies are near their flag. Some like to. . . .explore the other side too, and clear out any snipers- that includes you. :P  As a Railgunner, be sharp. Always notice enemies, do not let them escape under your radar (camera). Yep. .one un-spotted Tank can cause havoc if they know what they're doing. . .

7. Hmm. This I question about. As a Railgunner I don't like pressing E all the way. It's just plain uncomfortable for me. I shoot better at a normal vision sight. Not to mention of course, it kind of narrows your vision down. Who knows, a Hornet can just speed right behind you. An enemy Hornet. :o

You guys crack me up, rail nowhere close to best weapon at my rank and up.  I can't even remember the last time I saw a reil owning a game.  Once you get to smoky m2 its dumb to get rail since smoky crit is more powerful than even m3 rail and enemies have no idea where you are when you're shooting them since it doesn't leave a tracer like the rail does.

you are completely wrong. If you are skilled with railgun you can be first or second or third in many battles.Only noobs are losers with railguns.

Hehe. . .you're sort of right. I do notice the difference, though . . . .not as much as what I had expected .. . But still good for only a price of 30,000 crystals.

(What do you think I should aim for next?) :o

I think it's better to go for isida or twins, these both are awesome and slightly OP.What is more frustating for a railgunner when they shoot an isida and it just heals itself right away? That will mean wasting a shot. Also twins heavy knockback helps against railguns on light hulls,as they barly manage to shoot you.

Railgun in Combe is extremely OP, imo:

That battle took 30 minutes.

Cool sometimes I also get lucky and get a fund like this playing for short time..and sometimes have to slog hours just to get double!

Wish we could choose all the right matches.

Hornet's too wide? umadbro

He's got a point there dude. In hornet the turret is smack right at the centre. So when we guys try to come out of a hiding place the pro smoky or thunder users can shoot at that side and make us miss. But in dictator that's not the case coz its at the end. Thus happens only in high ranks though when you see the smoky m2's come out. Edited by sam131192

I find that when I shoot the edges/sides of a hornet m2, I can 1 shot them. When I shoot through the center of a hornet m2, I can never 1 shot them

Seems to happen everytime for me

Probably. But i noticed back in my rail m0 days, thats if i shot close i always one shotted a m0 wasp. When far i never would. Also, someone with a m1 rail when i was using m1 hornet one shotted me when he was close enough to make contact hull to hull.
