Is M1 Rail good? I have seen others use it and it is insanely good. I'm pretty sure it will go on sale in the next week or so, and I really want to get it.

The most epic setting ever is identical to the "Battles for Sandbox" that they have now. Hornet + Rail + no anti-rail paint. Playing that at m3 is nothing short of uttermost fun. So much speed and precision, skill and tactic, it's amazing. Teamwork is essential, as is not wasting a single hit. No other weapon can make for such suspense and excitement.

I'm going to have try a DM with mammo and rail.  I dusted off the ole rail the other day and got to ten kills before I died once.  It's good for hanging back and picking people off with cleverly timed shots, but I like being right in the thick of things so therefore its slow reload drives me nuts when I want to charge.

Good for you, if the battle continued I would've done more.. Also, I've done 350-1 in highland DM once with thunder mammoth.

I tend to bail from any DM where there are a lot of folk playing the self-destruct game to boost their D/L, as I do from drug wars.

Its not really a good Raigun tactic in my opinion, although clearly it works for Twins and Thunder (which have their own threads, of course....)

Miss with a rail gun usually means ur dead... Since reload takes ages

Well when I miss I get back into hiding. If I can't hide I just keep circling something with my Camera on the pursuing enemy. :D

It's basically beast at any rank if you know how to use it. You can use many techniques with it to own games. Only disadvantage would be the reload.

Railgun M1 is awesome; M0 is meh.

M0 is good at low ranks for CTF and TDM. DM, not so much.

I like it soo mutch!! WASP and railgun i think the best combination in the game!! And if the reload time would be shorter railgun would dominate so mutch that tanki online would not have any sense anymore. PS Meowr i do that its very usefull

Railgun is by far my favorite weapon! And its been that way since I started playing. I love it becouse every shot can affect the match tactically alot. If I see attacking tanks I can be a big support to the teammates who must defend, becouse a single hit from me on every tank often means they got less then half their life left and my team can easily take them out.

 

Also if enemys have isidas who constantly heal them, normal weapons are ineffective as the isida heals pretty much as fast as they damage it, so a railgun is really needed in such situations to help out the team.

A railgun can really help out a teammate who battles with an enemy. Most tanks who have gotten a bit of damage can be destroyed by a single shot, so the teammates trouble is quickly over.

 

 

So my point is, I always see railgun as a support weapon, becouse its hard to defend yourself when youre alone with it. But of course, its fun to be alone to when you play sneaky!

i use to use it alot but now i use shaft but now imma try it for quite a while iwth mammoth :D

That's a good combo if you got a good (hiding) spot. Downside is your as fast as a turtle.
