And now to decide between Viking and Hunter to future m4.

Hunter have slightly less HP than Viking and has more speed, but Viking have a lower base... Most youtube videos seem to favour viking..

Yet, most of the poll favors hornet.

Viking is brilliant at M4. I'd recommend getting it.

Hunter and Viking, although quite similar, have their differences. Viking handles firmly and has a lower base to help dodge attacks. Yes, it is true that it will still get hit, but that does not change the fact that it will be harder to hit it. Some complain about Viking's turning speed, but that problem is fixed at M4, and at M4 Viking is neither fast or slow.

Hunter has a bit of that annoying drift Hornet has, Viking does not. Hunter has more weight than Viking, but Viking's shape and low base keeps it stable. If you want great armour, decent speed, and making precise attacks, Viking is the way to go. If you care a bit about speed and want a little more weight, go for Hunter. It is up to you (:

Although I would recommend going for Viking M4 :D

Dictator has more HP, turning speed, weight and pushing power then both of them :P

Dictator's turning speed is not much of a benefit as it is already big as heck, not to mention it is slower than Viking, has less acceleration, and is not as nimble as Viking. Don't get me wrong - I love Dictator, but I just feel that Viking has more potential.

Viking? Nimble? 1500 accel vs 1700? Thanks for giving me a laugh :D

Yep. I said Viking has more potential. Given that it has higher speed and is smaller than Dictator, you are more likely to evade attacks and spend just as time alive as Dictator.

Nimble? Yes, I have watched the V-logs.

https://youtu.be/7Urnxkq3mi4?t=58s - They clearly say 'The turning speed is the same, so it is the most nimble of medium hulls'

315 HP vs 345 HP? 100 turning speed vs 110 turning speed?

It is true that it has been posted a while ago, but the properties remain. They kept Dict's turning speed in order to make it stay as the most nimble of the medium hulls. I don't remember parameters other than speed or armour getting changed afterwards...

The only thing I would like for Hunter and Viking is for Hunter to have better acceleration and firm handling, and Viking to have more weight.

Medium hulls evading attacks.... let's go to anyone with skill in the following turrets: Fire,Freeze,Isida,Hammer, Twins,Rico,Smoky,Thunder, Vulcan,Rail and Shaft. They will all hit you no matter what. Medium hulls don't dodge, they take fire. They are not Wasp/Hornet

Nimble....what comes to mind is turning speed, speed and size. Turning speed is just something I put out there. Sure Viking has more speed and is smaller, but it is still a lumbering titan to Wasp and Hornet, which are truly nimble

That part of the video is referring to Dictator so....

HP makes the difference is medium and heavy hulls as they are more reliant on HP for survival then speed. It's the lights which need speed.

Anyway this isn't a discussion about Medium hulls, not hulls for a matter of fact! Let's get back on track with Firebird

They will hit you, yes, but Viking has a greater chance of evading them. Same goes to Hunter with greater speed. Fairly, anyone with skill can hit *anything*, even a Wasp M4 with Nitro. What is the point of it all? To simply *reduce* the chances of getting hit. Does this render Hunter's extra speed useless? In the eyes of, well, any turret, Dictator is the go-to target due to its size. Medium hulls are the versatile hulls. The have the capability to both run away and absorb damage, although to a smaller degree to their counterparts.

According to the video I gave out, Dictator is more nimble than any of the other medium hulls. I would like my medium hull to be more firm and not that nimble, which is honestly a tad annoying and in some cases can slow down or affect your hull's performance.

Yes - more specifically, a weakness. You thought it was funny that I pointed out that Dictator is more nimble so I just simply posted a video that proves my point.

Honestly, I feel that Medium hulls just need versatility. That is why they have a balance of HP, speed, turning speed, weight, etc. Light hulls just have speed to their advantage, while Heavy hulls have health and weight. Medium hulls simply have versatility as they are a mix of speed, armour, weight, etc. The point that I was trying to execute was that sometimes, even small differences can make a difference. That is not to say that the case applies for all times.

My comment regarding Viking M4 was for the player asking what he should buy alongside with his Firebird. I said that while I recommend Viking, it is up to him to decide what to use. This debate would not have happened if my suggestion was simply left alone and taken into consideration by the player.

IMO medium hulls generally don't have enough speed to get away, so HP becomes more important. The likelihood of making someone missing a shot on you when using Viking compared to Dictator is very slim whereas surviving a hot with Dictator has a far greater probability. More practical to have HP then speed when it comes to those 2. Hunter on the other hand has a greater speed (which means the chances of a successful escape is greater) then Dictator, so that is something I could seriously consider. Viking is just too 'standard', not doing anything particularly good while Hunter and Dictator are on opposite ends of the spectrum. (Short version of things to say :D)

You can tell the player one thing, but someone else can give their side on which could be better. More options means a harder choice, but gives a possibility of getting a better item then you would of previously. I'd say getting Hunter for Fire(over Viking)because speed is generally more important with short ranged weapons then HP.

While the first part is true, the extra speed can, in certain situations, save your life. Viking's higher acceleration and speed helps do so. The likelihood of hitting a Viking under certain conditions is low. In Polygon, if you were to place yourself around the edges inside the centre field, it would be harder to hit it because of a lower platform. In Monte Carlo, taking cover with Viking is easier because its small size does not make it stick out and a lower platform helps to evade attacks from above.

I have been playing Dictator mainly in battles like Noise, Monte Carlo, and Polygon. The size was hardly any help when going through cramped areas, and it certainly wasn't helpful to my teammates either. Because the turret is mounted really high, I get hit from above and I can hit other Dictators from above. I did get great results from Dictator, but I can get just as great or higher results with Hunter or Viking. I really like Dictator though, but I find the size, height, and handling to be a common problem.

Viking seems to be standard, as its stats average out between Hunter and Dictator, but what Viking has is the higher acceleration, firm handling, and a lower base. I know that it may not seem like such a big deal, but when such a problem comes into play, these 'small advantages' can really help you. As standard as it might be, Viking still has some unique qualities.

The player wanted to know if Hunter or Viking M4 with Firebird is good in Poly CP. From the experiences I've been through, Hunter's drift and turning speed can be a burden when navigating all those cramped places, and it takes some time to reach its top speed. Dictator is an excellent choice, as it has the weight, health, and pushing power, but it is a big and easy target - psychologically, people would aim for the 'big guns'. Dictator is not a Heavy Hull meaning that it is not ideal for absorbing damage. I feel that Viking has enough health, speed, and maneuverability for such a map and game-mode. It is not such a big target, and the lower base can save you camp alongside the edges in the centre. Or at least from my experience. I would like to stop debating for now as I have much better things to do and I am running late, so let's just leave it at that :)

I'm considering buying the Firewall kit on my old 2011 account I plan to rank up.

Any idea what the standard discount is on that?

I have M1 Firebird and am trying to decide between Hornet and Wasp for a hull.  Does anyone have a suggestion?

Most definitely Wasp. Wasp is more viable than Hornet in general, and Wasp has more crippling debuffs than Hornet, promoting more skill.
