:excl:firebird with hornet is great.

it can go through multiple targets good for trying to get gold boxes.

and the rotation speed is good

the gun is good on short maps like polygon farm and highland :D

the only backfire is when you tip over halfway and cant get back up and you have to self destruct

This is for all of you people who don't care about Goldboxes.

How to troll with Firebird:

Step 1: Wait for Gold Box warning.

Step 2: Make "peace." No shoot please.

Step 3: Wait until everyone gathers at Gold marker.

Step 4: Stay behind everyone.

Step 5: Use Double Power.

Step 6: Spray the whole group at once non-stop.

Lol I did that with my Firebird M2 in a Polygon DM at x5 funds (many golds).

Got cussed at sooo much. x)

Hi everyone, I don't quite understand about burning mechanism with Firebird.

1. Currently at M1, how long does it take me to heat up a tank to the max?

2. What is min/max burning damage all about?
Let's say if the tank is +0.2 temp, how much is the burning damage?

3. Is it a good tactic to fully heat up a tank (and let it burn), and move to next target?
Or just keep shooting until the tank is destroyed?

4. How to deal with Freezer and Hammer?
Should I just rush to their sides and kill them?

Thank you. :)

1. The temperature limit for Firebird m1 is 0.29 and the heating rate is 0.1 per tick. 'tick' is half a second. So it'd take a bit less than 1.5 seconds I think.

2. "Min burning damage (tick) — minimum extra damage dealt to an enemy tank per one "tick" that occurs due to heating of enemy's hull. At the moment of shooting, basic damage and burning damage are summed up (the more time you spend attacking an enemy, the higher the burning damage).

Max burning damage (sec) — maximum extra damage dealt to an enemy tank per one second that occurs due to heating of enemy's hull. At the moment of shooting, basic damage and burning damage are summed up (the more time you spend attacking an enemy, the higher the burning damage)."

I don't know the exact burning damage when a tank is +0.2 temperature. I'm sorry.

3. That completely depends on the circumstances. Sometimes it's better to deal some damage and let the burning damage kill him while you're running away, sometimes it's better to completely burn him. It's difficult to say what's the best to do in what circumstances. The more you use Firebird, the more you'll gain understanding on how to use it to get the maximum out of it.

4. Firebird has a bigger range than Freeze, so when you're using a hull which is faster than your opponent's hull, you can burn your opponent (who's using freeze) while he can't hit you. When I use Firebird, I always try to sneakily attack them in the back. When the circumstances are favorable, I attack them in the back and when they're turning their hull and turret to shoot me, I run away and let the burning damage deal with them. As for Hammer, I'd also suggest to try attacking them in the back and run away when they start shooting at you. Hide after a wall or building, let the burning damage hit him a bit, and when he comes after you, just all of a sudden appear from behind the building and finish him. Sometimes just rushing to them works well too if you're sure you can beat him at 1 vs 1.

2. Well since the temparature can't get over 0.29 at M1, does it mean it will never reach max burning damage?

The min is 1. So does it mean the first tick you shoot and set a tank on fire, it starts at 1?

When it cools down, the amount of damage decreases too, right? If so, how much?

Thanks for your advice. Thanks a lot. :)

I'm not sure about this, so I'll try to contact someone who knows it with certainty. :)

"Oh its tricky :) whenever Firebird attacks it is increasing temperature of a tank. Damage done by temperature is depended on how high the temperature is, which is depended on how long Firebird attacked. But there is a limit on how much temperature can be. Max is 1, which gives 30 damage per second. But only m3 maxed Firebird can heat up tank to that temperature. Also, every second temperature of a tank is decrease until it is 0 again. So, yeah... that was easy to make, but a bit hard to find out how much damage is dealt"

~

So the limit on how much temperature there can be, is 0.29 for m1 Firebird. If this limit is reached, the burning damage deals 30 damage per second. The more the temperature lowers, the less damage the burning damage deals. The higher the temperature, the longer the burning effect will stay. I hope this answer is a bit satisfactory.

The best thing about Firebird?

Waiting that one second or two after someone kills you to hear the "pop" of their tank as they hurry up, run backwards, overheat, and blow up.

I always feel a certain sense of satisfaction hearing that pop and seeing "creeperskelly destroyed ----" on the kill board.

Also being able to kill enemies who are on the opposite side of the person on your team with the other team's flag is a huge defensive advantage.

It's the only turret that kills even after you have been killed. :D
