Question, does DD effect afterburn if I equip it after attacking them?

We know you desperately want posts.

But no need to put quote and question in different post... Even if it's a later time just edit it in.

Good question tho, but I'm very certain it does not effect their afterburn.

I love this turret I always play with hornet and firebird on RIO CTF. I call this turret "The freezing fire". One advantage:

You can go round and round the enemy like you are using freeze. And even actually after you die, the enemy gets heat.

 

Also very useful when gold box drops. Many tanks will be crowed at the gold box drop spot. This turret can easily destroy all....

For me, Firebird M2 is way WAY better than Freeze M3. In fact, I don't even notice the freeze effect at all. A while back freeze used to bring tanks to a halt but now it's just a broken snow blower.

I've seen this happen but while it does garner a few kills most tanks are wearing double armor so you probably won't commit genocide. I rarely see the Firebird in question end up with the gold.

I would love to hear a lot more from players who have paired Viking with Firebird.

What is your play style?

What are your preferred maps?

What paints do you use and why?

How do you compensate for Viking's relatively slow speed when using Furebird - a short range weapon?

1) my playing style when I use firebird is normally ambush/attack if I'm really trying to win but if not I just equip wasp/hornet and DD and Annoy the crap out of the enemy

 

2) my preferred maps for firebird are small ones like. Fort Knox. Island. Small ones like that

 

3) I usually use my MUed forester paint cause of all the railguns around

 

4) I will normally use speed boost alot and pickup as many drop boxes as possible

Switch to Storm when going against other Firebirds, it helps.

I use firebird as my main weapon with Titan. Very effective, I beat most players one on one, even higher ranked. You lose a lot of speed, yes. But if I stick to small or crowded maps, that is not a big issue, imo. My main issue with firebird is reload.

 

Polygon, Island, Ping pong, Hill, Wave, etc. Also works well with Highland, Noise, Brest, Iran etc, when there are +12 players. Heck, I can even play big maps like Kungur if there are a lot of tanks on it and do very well.   Use this combo, play Polygon CP and rake in big money.

I love FW/H because i get kills and XP very fast, the battlefund gets high very easily.. there's only one prob... there will be always some1 who will ruin the battle -_- even if its private =P

You upgraded ypur firebird from m0 to m1. That means you have m1 and not m0 anymore. You have no ise for m0 so its not in your garage

That's just something with the new garage set up. Even if u have not bought the weapon at all it will be there with the rest of your weapons waiting to be bought. And truthfully that's the only problem with the new garage setup cause there are alot if players who get confused with this

M1 Firebird is better, but it really roasts at M3. Still, it's a pain for both teams on Noise due to there being only one Repair Kit on the map.

Firebird was only designed for one purpose, to ambush, thats why its really cheap at m2 and really expensive at m3, it literally carries you through the lower ranks if you manage it well, its not good at any thing else other than defense, so theres not much skill involved, and it only works mainly on short, mid range maps. The balance is better at m3

Excuse me, but I use Firebird mainly for attack, and I must say it does a good job killing enemies quickly combined with Wasp. As for your comment about no skill involved, skill is needed to use every turret well. For Firebird it takes skill to figure out exactly how long you need to spray a given tank to kill him with the burn and when to disengage so that you have enough ammo loaded to defend yourself if another enemy gives you a surprise visit. Also, when you say "cheap", I think you mean for M0 and M1, not M2. The M2 is one of the more expensive M2s out there and thus requires a lot of commitment to get the crystals for it.

firebird is the best turret IT BURNS EVERYTHING and it still damages tanks after the attacker stops shooting it's so good it doesn't need range to be awesome

i think that firebird is a really awesome weapon........what makes it so cool is that the burning time..that is an advantage of the firebird...and the rotation speed...ehhh.....its not good but its not bad either...the only disadvantage that i could find from the firebird is that the range of fire...its not alot and honestly that sucks.....it would be a great ideal weapon for the map like noise or sanbox and map that is small
