Depends on your style, maps and modes you play.

Wasp and Hornet if you play on big maps and/or like stealing the flag.

 

I use a Viking-M1 with Firebird-M1 as my default so I don't have to worry what battle mode (CTF, DM, TDM, CP) I enter. I am usually a mid-fielder or defender, so this fits my style perfectly.

I like firebird because when you want to schorch a tank and the tank atacks you back and you die the tank you tryed to destroy starts to burn after you failed to stay alive while attacking the tank and possibly it will blow up.

The M3 version of the Firebird is really expensive so I would say don't get it unless you really like that particular turret.

+ new vulcan option - that most of players use fire protekt paints, what makes from thsi weapon very small powerfull weapon.

 

fire + zeus = 50% of power - and it is not soo good.

There's a paint that has excellent protection for every turret. Not many tankers even use Zeus regularly anyways, because not many tankers use Firebird M3 often.

It still can dominate battles even at Commander I found. It was my best weapon till I ranked to Commander and got it M3

I have it in my alt along with Wasp M2, it's such a fun and powerful combo! 60.1 DPs just kills everything so fast.

I have a good idea of what that would be like. My own Firebird M2 is MUd 16 times. I only have trouble with those pesky drugging Colonels and Generals.

I recently played a match in kungur where I used M3 Firebird (7/50 MUs) M3 Hornet (41/50 MUs) and when I ran into a DD and a Nitro, I can kill most tanks My rank and lower within a second! Without the pickups, I still killed them in a few seconds! Heavy tanks took more, but only needed 3/4 to one full charge! It's DPS at this current state of balance is crazy ridiculous.

They shouldn't if the price will remain the same. Don't forget that although Firebird M3 is better than Freeze in many ways, it also costs way more. Firebird is the most expensive turret in the game at the M3 level.

That is true. However, I think Freeze is better for DMs because of the superior reload time and the fact that it is harder to steal kills from it because it doesn't have burning time.

I like the burn feature. It's what makes Firebird a good turret.
