Ehhhh..... At m3/m4 firebird can easily beat freeze.  If you turn your hull as well...

Firebird has great damage but the burn feature has been vastly reduced. My Firebird M2 (MUd 33/50) only does afterburn for 2-3 seconds now and it used to do it for 15.1 seconds. Overall it is a nerf. The dps got increased a bit but the unique feature got very heavily nerfed.

He's not speaking about the Rebalance Update, he's asking about the last (28 October) update's nerf: That is - Firebird and Freeze effect cone no longer shoot through hulls.

Why did they remove the penetration though?  Sure, with a bit of skill and proper handling you can still hit multiple tanks at once...but IMO it was a useless nerf that removed one of the most fun and defining aspects of firebird and freeze.

Been a user of firebird from the start. There is no better way to cause havoc than setting your fellow tankers alight with firebird :D
