Wasp/Firebird combo will get you good results in the WO ranks sure, but after that you're better off relying on another combo until you get both Wasp and Firebird to M2.

I am currently Warrant Officer 4, I have fire(bird) m1. However I have MUed to 33/50, should I go MU to the max, or save for a m2 hull (eg. Hornet m2) then finish off MUing it??

Since Freezing slows down the tanks through a low temperature, it would be too funny, if Fire can make the tanks go fast  :D

The Firebird alteration is amazing. In every battle that I've gone against a Firebird using it, I've died before I could let off a shot with Railgun, because it kills Hornets in about 1 second. If you have M3 or M4, it's well worth the extra 100k crystals, because you immediately become a monster on small battlefields. You will have to alter your playstyle a bit, from what I've seen of the people with the alteration, they usually dash in, roast someone, hide, repeat, while their friends do all the flag capturing. Or if you're in DM, then this will be absolutely insane, because it's capable of getting massive KDR's.

Anybody got some experiences to share on the new update for firebird and freeze today? Is it a noticeable nerf?

What nerf it was? I've heard that new update is coming for firebird? Can after update fire damage only 1 tank at time?

It means firebird and freeze no longer do damage through other tanks.

Which actually sucks because before this update I was able to kill a group of 5 tanks or so when they get bunched up. Now it is only one at a time unless they were side by side.

I agree, there was no better feeling in the game than destroying every tank near the gold drop zone after it falls.

Save for an M2 kit. You are only 3 rank ups away from getting the Firewall Kit (Firebird-M2 plus Hunter-M2).

If you get at a good angle, you could still hit many tanks. Even if two tanks aren't side by side at a different angle, they are, especially considering the gold zone contains a high concentration of tanks.

Yeah, but with that many tanks some of them will block the stream and then your out of ammo before you can get to them.

You were not completely behind the tank; a bit of your hull was still showing. Also, the visual effect wasn't changed, meaning it will look like the freeze is going through the tanks, but it won't actually do any damage.

Firebird is a really cool weapon, specially when used in DM battles against those druggers, as if you attack them with an m3 firebird like for 10 full seconds, it will take over two, or even three thousand hitpoints away from the enemy tank, and it's best combo is with viking and wasp

Of course, any other M3 weapon can kill something in less than 10 seconds. :D

Firebird + wasp is called "Dragon" right? I use it with viking and magma paint. I call it "THE NIGHTMARE DRAGON!"

It is. The afterburn is so unnoticeable, even for M3, that you might as well use Freeze. Plain better.

Playing on my long-dead alt again...Firebird's afterburn is so laughable it makes a complete 360 and now it's not funny anymore >=(

 

I used to burn people to a crisp, now I just leave them medium rare :(
