What are you thoughts on this turret? Share you opinion!    Garage description:   Close-range turret. Puts enemies on fire, dealing additional damage over time. Unfreezes tanks. Ha

i use hornet m0 with my firebird it's a great combo

I call it "The Dragon". Best used with wasp as it's speed helps to get closer to enemies as quick as possible. Requires great skills to use it effectively because of the high fuel consumption and slow

Firebird is useless without the compact tanks alteration, right? I'd rather buy titan or railgun.

Its burn is pretty bad right now, but I expect Tanki devs will be changing the stats to make it more balanced soon. Remember that no turret stays UP forever, so it may actually be worth getting it while it is cheaper now if you like the concept of the turret.

Yes for supplies off battles, where people can not get rid of your superpower burn. You'll be as good off as anyone. The 50k alteration is good except for Single Point CP. Just don't use your fire in supplies on or alterations off battles. It will suck.

FIrebird is the turret that is the most fun to use and almost anybody can learn to use it with great success (except for the people who have issues with range :P ).  Its also nice because it unlocks early and is usually cheap at most levels :)

Admins, pls make changes on firebird!!!!! 

If you equip the alteration it is not weak. Kills quite quickly.

I know, but if admins would change the balance on firebird, it would be more better......

 

I dont have more crystals to equip the alternation.

I tried the firebird with the compact tank alteration on test server and it was really good! The afterburn on it was insane! I would say there are 4 seconds of firing time in a single clip.

 

A 2 or 3 second burst would be enough to kill a light hull. Almost all of a whole clip kills a medium hull and a full clip plus a little bit of afterburn kills a heavy hull. Keep in mind these are hulls without protection from firebird.

 

Another plus about equipping the alteration is that generally the clip size isn't a problem; the reload speed of the firebird means that it will practically never run short of ammo.

 

I have a m4 mammoth with 40% protection against fire and this thing is still lethal against me; it usually takes out about 5/8 of my health before I manage to kill it if they are equipping  medium hull, 7/8 of it if they have a heavy hull.

How is firebird m2? should I get firebird, of freeze? I have both m1, and like them both, but use the firebird since it has 39 upgrades (noob master sergeant mistake) I do know that the m2 freeze is cheaper, but if I get firebird m2, it will most likely be in a kit.

How much it costs you to MU fire from 39 to 50? It may be cheaper, but I won't be too

I think Firebird is a pretty strong weapon. Now lemme just say, that turrets in tanki kinda have a "Lifespan". FE, Firebird M1 is epic in the Wo  ranks, but in the leutenants, maybe you should wait for M2.

Firebird is best at M1 especially with the early unlock, after that it gets progressively weaker. M3 with alteration is strong in PRO battles, but weak in normal battles because of health kits.

Yeah I've got the alteration with 15 microupgrades. I joined when the red team was 3-0 up and I just obliterated them by drugging. It's not that impressive really. It would be if it was against M4s as they have a never ending supply of health kits which makes firebird almost toothless.

Yes in this way you are lucky, you get to play with the smaller weaker ranks who have no protections. I didn't take my Fire to M3+ until I was already a Legend, and at that point everyone and their grandma has 50% against you. Not very fun. :(

So what do you think is a better investment for someone who is now able to buy m3 hulls and turrets? In retrospect, what would you have mu'd to m4?

For me, the Paladin kit combined with the Grizzly T-J module.

Hammer, although (much like Firebird) it doesn't even *need* full m4 to be good. Just enough to take out M4 Vik in 3 hits. With both alterations it's a monster, and not nearly as many protections against it (save for a few Tigers or Nanos here and there)

 

I'm not saying Firebird is a bad gun though! It still eats through protections if you hold your fire on them for the full clip (assuming alteration). It just gets tedious when half the enemy team has titans with 50% against you, and your k/d is going to suffer, that's why I recommended another close-range heavy hitter. Inferno and Zeus won't save them from a raging hammer. ;)

 

Edit: The guy above me also has the right idea. Though I don't see as many Smokies anymore since they nerfed the reload speed.
