You should explain why hornet isn't good with firebird.

I read it on the wiki site  on description for fire bird and  it said something like  firebird not going with hornet and many people wouldn't agree with this.

Wasp/viking and hunter are the hulls that are meant for firebird.

^^ these are the hulls recommended in wiki I agree with it too for some reason.

Funny thing is that it really depends on the player. Like most other combos, hornet and fire can prove to be an effective combo if in the right hands.

Go for m3 twins and stable plasma alt. It's really good, and cost effective.

Why didn't you?

 

You would have saved up tons of crystals, plus it beats compact tanks any day. You can shoot forever where as with compact tanks, you just run out of ammo faster.

 

Not to mention that compact tanks is only decent in pro battles where supplies are turned off.

 

Stable plasma will make you a formidable player in both pro and non pro battles.

I dont need striker, it is too similar to thunder and i already have 2 medium range m3 turrets (smoky+thunder)

 

Titan would work well with my twins (which i got the alt for today as well  :P )and also synergies with thunder and smoky. It would also add another m3 hull to my garage while right now my only one is a m3.5 viking.

 

Fire is just a favourite of mine and i have the alt for it too

I've recently got the Compact Tanks alteration for Fire. It has a similar performance to the stock version in Arena and Island since it has a higher burst but overall it deals lower damage. However, it's a great investment for Polygon. It changes the gameplay quite a bit and I've had fun using it. Additionally, I see an increase in performance as my medium hull didn't always allow me to use all (or most) of my ammo before being destroyed (therefore losing potential damage) when using the stock version.

That's the alteration that improves the burn, so after a few seconds of shooting their tank goes bright red? And the afterburn is pretty lethal. I always see mine doing like 110, then 100, then 90, and stops at 20.

Well, my M2 Fire's burn without that alteration is still pretty good, I considered getting that but they are so damn expensive.

Yes, that's the alteration that improves the burning effect. Stock Fire is still good so you don't really need the alteration in every single battle to perform well, but I really like the gameplay it offers. It is rather expensive so you should buy it in a sale, but I think it's one of the 4 (maybe 5) M2 alterations that are worth the crystals invested.

I have firebird with the compact tanks alteration at 6/20 and it's alright, but not great. There does however seem to be a huge difference with a couple more upgrades as I came up against someone with it at 13/20 and my tank was immediately red hot :blink:

Firebird is pretty awesome. My dream weapon. 

i agree, its a powerful weapon and is easy to master, plus if you sneak up on enemies by the time they turn around to destroy you he burn will take them.

Well, there was one update take gave it a heating rate of 0.4. IMO, slightly OP, I think it should be around 0.3 to 0.35. But then again, oh well.

Firebird became a turret again when repair kit got nerfed. The m2 alteration is now a serious threat and the heating rate buff also helped so the regular isn't that bad.
