Love Firebird. I can destroy multiple enemies at once and destroy those who have already destroyed me. The burning effect is very good. I use it with Hunter, obliterating all wasps and hornets in my path.

I have M2 Firebird at 8/10 with Compact Tanks—the burn damage is simply sublime.

Just torch someone for 2 seconds and run away...they will sustain 1900 total damage just from burning. 190+180+170+160....etc.

That alone will take 80% of an M2 medium hull's health.

 

Couple insane burn damage with Firebird's awesome DPS, and you have a monster.

Yep, thanks to Tankers' day sales :)

The alteration really makes a huge difference. If you get it, play in NS battles where people can't use repair kits. My afterburn begins at 190, and even if someone uses a repair kit they will keep burning starting at 70 or so.

My firebird actually just finished upgrading to 9/10—can't wait to have some barbecued enemies for dinner :)

Wow, sounds awesome! But I thought M2 Firebird was unlocked at Major? I got it at Brigadier rank on my main, and it ranked me up twice to Lieutenant General. It is so OP :O

Probably wisest in the long run to save for M3 kits, but ultimately it's your choice. I've found M2 Striker is really fun, and the firebird alt would be a good choice. Don't spend your crystals on useless paints though, and name change is too expensive IMO.

Yup, I'm saving for an M3 kit - I would have M3 Isida already except it got moved up like 4 ranks  <_<

But now's my chance! If I get Healer kit I can use the M3 Hornet from it (maybe not Isida as it made my K/D so bad) and M2 Firebird! :D

+ I need the burn alt as well

I Have Fire M1 , And its enough for m3 hornets wasps hunters and dictators, I am in high rank and its not for m1 fire, but I did better with fire m1 than railgun m2.

I believe fire fly is the best kit if u get it when its unlocked!

now I am micro-upgrading my xp and railgun protection to m3 and after being m3 xp , I ame

Firebird is great since M1 unlocks at very low rank for low price and it deals so much damage even the after-burn thing where u stop attack and still it does damage it's great for short maps like island.

Which medium hull goes best with Firebird, Viking or Hunter? I'm leaning towards Viking due to the extra speed.

Have Firebird lost the ability to shoot through tanks ? like many times when i fire at a bunch of tanks i only hit the one at the front and the remaining tanks stay intact.

You sure? I know they took it out, but they also failed to mention they put it back because I could attack clusters that are close together.

They can still attack multiple tanks at the same time. They just can't shoot through tanks.

wasp---to fast, easy to flip down and weak

 

hornet---everything behind normal, if you do not upgrade, enemy will kill you easily

 

titan and mammoth---too slow, but it would be a good way if you stay in the base and kill the enemy

 

hunter, viking and dictator---for me, they compare with firebird the best (enough power to defend or having a war, they wouldn't go too slow since you use the speed box (kit))
