So in which situations is fire better now, and in which is it worse?

If it is in range its better if its not in range its worse

 

meaning , in short maps no probs , in mid to big maps watch out for the turest with good range 

so find them and sneak up on them

Strongest turret in the game right now, as it was before the buff. Can't believe the devs somehow found a way to make it even stronger. Now you have m2 firebirds with no micro upgrades destroying m3.5 vikings with modules. Any short range map is a firebird fest and you have no chance even with modules. Thanks Tanki for ruining gameplay like always.

I no longer care about game balance, I'll just keep exploiting the current OP equipment.

 

it doesnt need upgrades, all you need is compact tanks

Yup... that's the turret that has killed me more than any other turret since the upgrade.

 

Why can't Dev's get it right? Ever?

 

Ah never mind - it's probably doing exactly what they want.

Lol, I bought m2 fire recently, and forgot I ever did so. I haven't used it for anything except a few parkour battles, because I'm lazy :lol:

Played some o-supply polygon CP.

 

AT LEAST 2 firebirds per team every battle.  If you don't equip fire module you won't last 3 seconds.

Just finished a control point game...other team had 6 (six) firebirds:) Needless to say it was meltdown madness...we lost

They should return freeze damage to where it was

Or drop fire afterburn by 15% the most

The range is alright that damage is pretty reasonable in ratio to its current range

Damn i thought the afterburn damage would increase with double damage

They should only reduce m2 and m1 after and keep m3 m4

Don't you get it

by making a turret OP by time to time they increase the sale of the turet itself and the modules against it

and the buyers will MU them also which cost a lot of crystals { not on sale } and they will Buy from the shop 

 

They say Re-Balance i say $$making  :P

But i don't care it that much cause the buffs were bearable cause it was for the shorrties  :ph34r:

What pisses me off about this update is that before if you thoroughly outplayed a Firebird you could exit the fight with a good bit of health left, after the burn effect took place. Now, you can do anything right, but if you get burned for even 3-4 seconds you're done. Firebird has always been unbalanced because it allowed the user to still be rewarded for not necessarily outplaying their opponent, this new update has made this even worse. You can completely outplay a Firebird, and still die because of this ridiculous burn effect. It's so ludicrous that i'm now seeing M4 Firebirds spray someone for 1-2 seconds then leave because they know the burn effect will do the rest. 

 

The Developers are slowly but surely eliminating every single skill gap this game has to offer. First it was allowing a parabolic weapon (Magnum) to completely destroy gameplay and ruin numerous maps, and now it's making Firebird so overpowered that you can suck at the game and still get a good number of kills.

You're absolutely correct.

 

You will also see a lot of firebirds (and freezes) in battle now which makes the game more homogenous and boring.

Precisely, make one turret overpowered for a month or so, lower ranks will flock to the store to buy modules, kits, or crystals for modules and kits. The Tanki circle of life, don't worry about the player base and actual gameplay, money above everything else.

but if the did not do this the game would have been dead  long ago

The afterburn works in sudden bursts every second instead of a constant stream of damage. Is this intentional?

Probably

After they nerfed isida that u can't heal u from the burning effect. I found it incredibly hard to restore hp (with first aid) when ur at high temperatures. Also isida healing u waste most of their amono when ur at high temperatures.

 

Idk thats probably just me without fire prot :lol:

If you just want to win or get lots of kills then firebird is absolutely the way to go. One quick puff of napalm and let afterburn do the damage. It is ridiculously easy to use.

Firebird can also be really useless in hardcore drug battles since first aid kit cancels all the afterburn. I've been using 40% protection against firebird and it does really help. It is easy to use the turret at the moment but I find it boring at the same time - I rather use freeze instead.
