Let's Discuss Firebird!

No m2 turret is worth buying at full price. Firebird is my secondary turret as it gets badly nerfed when the opp team mainly consists of isidas and freezes which happens a lot. Even one freeze in your or the opp team has an effect, coz firebird relies heavily on the slow afterburn.Also people steal your kills a lot.

But in maps like iran it is OP, doesn't matter who is in the opp team.

I would advise non buyers to first buy a dependable turret like rail or thunder and then think of buying fire so that they have a turret to fall back on while battling in situations where firebird is weak.

Firebird is very effective in Noise, too, especially on the blue team for defence.

This is the worst weapon ever i regret that i spent crystals on getting the m2 (at least i did that on the discount).

The why :

Cant wait for m2! Better get back to using it a bit so when I get m2 I dont use it noobishly.

Kill a mamooth m2 with inferno (Loool) i doubt that, and if that is true you must have a full charge.

Inferno + isida in a face off you will never win.

Dude i got both isida and freeze m3 and the fire m2 and i know the diffrence, it is huge. But you, you just don't know what the diffrence cuz you never tried them. When you rank up and get the isida and freeze m3 and play with them, then come back and tell me what you think.

Just read through the last 3 pages. 

 

I agree with Shadowwalker on his comments.

 

But I agree (personal opinion) that Firebird is the greatest short range weapon compared with Freeze, Isida. It just requires skill to use it - when to stop burning the targetted enemy (and let the slow-burn take over) and move on to another target so that you aren't hampered by the recharging times or/and depleted firebird. It's precisely due to the rechargin times as a result of running on empty that Shadow mentioned needing drugs (double firepower meaning not running on empty for the same number of kills as without drugs).

 

Certain maps and game-type favour Firebird tremendously.

 

TDM in space-constrained maps - without doubt - I use firebird
