^ I prefer to live through my attacks...

I love it because I use it like a Freeze, but it's much faster.

That's a good trick to do that people don't use, using the freeze tactic with fire... I have done it before.

Of course you have to be sneaky with Fire. The afterburn isn't strong and you can easily lose your kill. Also, the reload time silong so you have to wait and sneak around will reloading. In addition, it takes time for your enemy to heat up so you have to attack from behind to increase your chances of killing him, and hopefully not get killed

Firebird can be used in two ways:

-Head on attacks. Usually not especially successful, but if you must, use Hunter or Viking.

-Guerilla attacks. You're going to want to use something fast, like Hornet or Wasp. Attack from behind, unload your Firebird into your target (shouldn't take that long), and run away once you're either out of charge or your target is dead.

The first method is easy to deal with if you have a ranged weapon. The second is more nefarious.

I have a way fighting rails with firebird in which you probably won't take any damage at all . Trick him into chasing you in between two buildings and make sure that his charge is not ready yet . Spray him with fire and when you think he is about to charge a shot move away the spray will be coming and he will think that you are still there and he will shoot and then miss because you moved away and then go in for the kill.

Freeze requires much less skill then Fire. All you have to do with Freeze is start spraying from behind and your enemy can't even turn to hit you. And you can do so for 7 seconds. If I fire does that for 5 seconds, I wonder what will happen

Nah freeze needs more skill because sometimes you need to encircle them and it can be quite tricky . Firebird is just like a snake doesn't matter from where you attack them just unleash the charge and wait until he is dead.

How can you possibly think that a turret that literally freezes the opponent takes more skill than one that actually allows the opponent to move and respond??

trust me,circling in most cases is very hard with a light hull, especially vs rico/twins/isida and yeah firebirds too but firebird has the best rotation speed so it can keep up

You don't need to circle enemies with Freeze. All you have to do is sneak up behind someone and they will never turn around to get you. If you circle then however, you will be more successful.

A noob wouldn't know how to save their charge and waste it. The wouldn't even reload because they will get killed. With Fire, you need to save every millisecond of charge. Freeze can go on until next week, then get enough energy to go another before you can blink your eye

Not to mention when you run out of charge with Fire, you are a dead man because your target will turn around and kill you. With Freeze, they will be a statue all the time. When they kind of defrost, you will have enough to Freeze then again and/or kill them

Seriously? M1 Freezes leave me like 3 seconds to live! I find that I usually last longer during a Firebird attack than a Freeze attack.

Point is: Firebird requires more skill than Freeze, end of story :)

No freeze needs more skill and have you tried to freeze m3 thunder I suppose no but he was a heck of an opponent in wave if he hits the wall it still hurts me a lot and him also and in the end we both died.

Firebird is just like release a charge die watch the scoreboard and wait for the kill it is as simple as that.
