The ability to hit players with ricochet by using walls without your opponents being able to hurt you is awesome. When using ricochet, see the walls as your friends. :lol:

You need to aim carefully to not waste shots. I noticed that I get around 10 shots from a full charge.

 

Bouncing the shots on the walls is cool, but I need a lot of practice at this.

 

It is not like twins were you can just press space all the time, which I was doing at the start.

they don't lose power from bouncing,but sure they do for range,they travel more with bounces,but the minimal range is kinda high

I am normally a Shaft player and dare I say it a bloody good one. But yesterday I was getting my arse kicked on 3 v 1 match by 2 Isi (M3) and 1 railgun (M3). I was getting really bored with the game and about to leave when a Gismo joined with M3 Hunter and M3 Rico. He tore them all apart. It was amazing to watch. Today playing Coombe I was once again getting my arse kicked, so I went into the garage and purchased Rico for the first time. I upgraded it to M2 and MU it the first 5 upgrades on all levels and went back into battle. Quickly I had 40 kills to 8 looses. I have not had such a high kill rate for a long time. I have never used this gun before ... but actually found it fun and if using a power up drugs really powerful. So my question for you more experinced Rico players .. what tips can you give me on this gun?

...you bought M0 + M1 + M2 Rico without a sale? You have a lot of crystals to spare.

 

Anyway, take advantage of Ricochet's bouncing effect. If you're not sure if there's an enemy around the corner, fire a few shots. If you hear the hit sound, you can either run away or continue sending rounds downrange to destroy anyone there.

Make sure you lead your shots at longer ranges.

well maybe be the part of the m2s and m3s are slightly false but according to statistics there aint much change. i havent played with those yet.

but m1 is definitely a disappointment to me. kill sped is equal to those in m0 and u see the effects when u play against mammoths.

not saying it doesnt kill great... just that it does not have greater improvement compared to weapons like twins, firebird, rail.

so u don't have much leverage into saying that i am COMPLETELY wrong. u need to do your research too. and im guessing u dont have m3 yet so...

Twins and Firebird are undoubtedly two of the strongest melee weapons in the game, but they are also the most expensive. M2 Rico represents INSANE bang for the buck. Railgun is a completely different weapon, you can not even compare that.  So, yes, you were wrong in saying that Ricochet loses its power throughout the ranks. My research is my experience.

u are saying i am wrong yet u say that rico m0 was op but m1 is balanced. what does that mean (it means u are contradicting urself)??? plus u do not know that it is very hard to take down a mammy m1. i have suffered like that. did all bouncing tricks and everything but the drugging mammoth never was dying as it kept on healing. please i am right now using my m1, maybe u might have forgotten whats its like to play against m1 mammys, becAuse it aint easy. and u urself said that twins and firebird are most powerful. so u are the one who is not right. maybe m2 does give BANG for the buck, but compared to your m0 rico against other m0s, it isnt all that powerful

lot of people say hitting walls, but i will give u one instance where u can actually use it to your extreme advantage. go to sandbox... go to the platform and hide behind the walls, when an m1 rail or any weapon comes, shoot the ledge through which the tanks come up to the platform from.

it will give u a headstart on ur firing and u will beat most weapons (except rico of course)

OH YES!! and one more thing someone mentioned earlier: try to press spacebar individually for each shot. dont just hold it down waiting for the charge to go. everytime u see enemy just click spacebar. that way u wont waste ur precious recharge

I said it was balanced at my rank. And M1 Ricochet unlocked 10 ranks ago. Which means, it was most definitely OP when it unlocked, as everyone had M0. It can hold it's ground against M2s, but is unlocked against M0s. Very OP.

Speaking of drugs, this goes to show just how OP M2 Ricochet is: If I have Double Armor equipped, M2 Ricochet will kill me in about the same time as it did before the 2nd Rebalance, if I didn't have Double Armor. M2 Ricochet kills M1 Wasp in 2 shots if drugging - the same amount as shots as M1 Thunder. The worst part is, it isn't the expensive and late-unlocked Twins and Smoky dominating battles at this rank. It's the cheap M2 Ricochet, which does just as good as those 'exotics'. You can't just look at stats, you have to consider price and unlock rank too. All things considered, M2 Ricochet is OP.

 

How could you even claim that M2 Ricochet "isn't all that powerful" if you haven't hardly played with them?

I have Rico with out discount ed. But u know when I was major had rail m2 hardly used it but used m1 Rico I was easily able to kill m2 hulls and when it became m2 god helped them or wise I would get DL. 10o kills 1 death if u r a Rico addict try to upgrade it to decrecing reloading ti e and play in map full of walls and guys if u r a Rico pro then u surly shud be knowing how to capeasily in Monte

if this is your only account u are COMPLETELY wrong. i have definitely experienced tanki much more than u as i used to play like 2 hours everyday since jan. u ONLY have started since june donot overestimate urself. my rank is lower than urs for 2 reasons: i have alt accounts at low ranks AND i dont play ctfs. and rank unlocking and price does not matter cuz in the end u suffer against the m2s. and stats DO count only a foolish person will say that it doesn't. plus i battle many m1 mammys in my rank, i will know how difficult it is.  and m2 rico kills m1 wasp. what??? u arent even comparing equipment of the same m2. and m3 is unlocked at the last feew ranks. u are starting comparing things not comparable. m2 rico kills WITH drugs equal to m1 THUNDER?? what is that comparison? and there is a way to check how powerful a weapon is. STATS!!! the difference between m1 and m0 is almost equal to difference to m1 and m2. maybe it will dominate (m2) but HELLOOO its playing against the m1s. once all m2s come out you are screwed. i dont think u might have experienced that yet

yes u are correct. but when against DA wasp, shouldnt it be 12?? because six shots are required to kill normally wasp m1.

however when u have DA u have double armor. so it should be around 11 to 12 i think. just chec again. im blocked from the game few days ago :( so i cant do it

Well after my second day with this gun, I can honestly say its fun to play with.

 

I am amazed that you can get M2 at First Lieutenant. Because if you MU it a little and use double power drugs it can take out almost anything. I wish I knew this in the past, it would of been my gun of choice.

 

But saying that I am also sure using it with a M3 Viking stopped me getting killed so easy.

 

Why you have to wait until Commander to get M3 is not right.

 

But overall while my Shaft is waiting in the garage slowly MU..ing (25 hours) this will be my second choice weapon.

 

I could also imagine this would work with Titan really good.

OK Noobusumu have you heard something called skill ? I guess not because of all the tripe ( thanks rem for that word ) you are saying . Maybe you are more experienced than trom which you are not but you definitely are not more experienced than me so I can tell you that price and unlock do matter and that stats matter as well but not as much as skill. On my alt I take down M1s with M0 because of skill so if you think that skill doesn't matter in this game go back and play a skill-less game like Minecraft noob .

For the second time now, I'm having to restate myself. I never said stats don't count, I said that they aren't the only things that matter. Look at my alts, I still battle M1 Mammoths ok? Heck, I battle M2 Mammoths, M2 Dictators, M2 Vikings, and M2 Hunters, which all have equal or more HP.

If you want proof that those are all me, ask a mod to check my IP Address. I used M1 Wasp as an example because *shocker* M2 Wasp has not unlocked for me yet!

Do you know why M3 Ricochet unlocks so late? Because it's OP. M3 Rico unlocks late for the same reason that M3 Dictator, M3 Firebird, M3 Mammoth, M3 Hunter, M2 Smoky, M2 Wasp, and M2 Titan unlock so late. With this last Rebalance, Tanki messed with that system with the M2 Rico. Unlocks early yet can last till Commander... it's just insane. M2 Rico crushes M1, dominates M2, and competes against M3.

Seriously, I'm getting tired of having to explain myself. I compared M2 Rico to M1 Thunder on drugs to make a point. M2 Ricochet on drugs can kill a Wasp in as many shots as a M1 Thunder. That is ridiculously OP.
